Once you've ticked off the great attractions in Three Sisters Mountain Village, there's plenty more to discover in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. We've come up with some drives we're confident you'll enjoy:

• Make tracks to Calgary for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Around 55 miles from Three Sisters Mountain Village, it has loads of great attractions such as Calgary Tower.
• Next stop? It has to be Red Deer, which is around 110 miles away. Peavey Mart Centrium is one local draw card you really shouldn't miss.
• Venture into the outdoors and take in the serenity at Athabasca Falls. You'll find it about 160 miles from Three Sisters Mountain Village.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Canada, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car.
