What I did not like at this resort was that the water pressure in the shower is too low floors in the bathroom or sticky and the floor also needed to be caulked around the bathtub and no ventilation in the bathroom exhaust I thought this would be a delightful visit instead I was disappointed everything was good except that the items that were mentioned staff was wonderful place was clean but they need to do something about the water pressure and caulking around the bathtub. For this facility that is new build as of August the workmanship in the room was not that good could be better you're talking executive resort they need work that's a shame.

New, clean, and fresh air in the casino!!! There is a smoking patio but the casino has no odor of cigarette smoke at all! The room was nice. Live band playing on the stage in the casino and a Terri Clark concert in the Event Center Friday night allowed us to have great music all day and night! There are big names coming to the Event Center in upcoming months, including Jake Owen and Craig Morgan! We'll definitely be coming more often! The 22 & Vine Cafe had great food at good prices midday, and the sports bar in the back of the casino had wonderful late night food, especially the Shareable Nachos! There is a high end steakhouse if you prefer that, too! The indoor swimming pool and hot tub looked great (didn’t bring our suits, but will next trip!) and there's a small exercise room if you overeat and feel guilty!! They've got everything you need, just bring your Good Luck!! Great stay!

the property is very new and well done with elegant rooms. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and the staff were very nice. The restaurants were not so much for our taste. We did not make it to the winery but that looked very lovely.

Walkers Bluff is very Beautiful decorated resort. Staff friendly. For a brand new resort the shower was Not impressive, water pressure was terrible. For a 4/5 star resort should have had a top notch mattress, the mattress was lumpy and not very comfortable. Pool area was very nice, outdoor pool, which we did not use as it was cold outside.

This hotel is so new it still has the "new car" smell. Employees well trained to be friendly. So new the check in took longer than expected, but, as I said, very friendly when explaining the delay. Ultimately the room was not ready but we were allowed use of the pool:hot tub area. While at resort we enjoyed the spa, the fine dining (Ruthie's) casino, and lunch restaurant (22and Vine) which were all very nice.

The immediate area around the Casino is very nice. The Casino was impeccabley clean with the best staff I have experienced. However the surrounding area in and around the city of Carbondale is blighted with derelict buildings and high crime. I remember when Carbondale was a nice area at one time. What happened?

Bar tenders very rude… housekeepers very loud in the morning. No hot water. Staff followed my husband around the casino for no reason not drunk just playing slot machines spent 30 mins and then left because of the uncomfortable feeling we had with one of the casino managers. For the amount of money charged for a stay it is not worth it I was very disappointed. This was my honeymoon and it was not something that is an experience that can’t be replaced.

We were in the area touring SIU with our son. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were large and the staff was very helpful. The only negative I have to say, the water pressure in our room was not great. They have a pub/bar which is connected to the casino, so we were not able to eat there with our son. I wish they had another restaurant connected (besides the steak seafood place), or a separate entry to the pub so my son would have been able to eat in there as well. My husband ended up grabbing food from the pub and bringing it up to the room for all of us.

Stayed here for a softball tournament nearby. This was an excellent choice! Pool, hot tub and eats for the teens, and casino, nightlife and comfy beds for the parents. Can’t wait to stay again. This is our new go to for this tournament.

Kinda Cool
This hotel and Casino is brand new and very attractive. As some other guests have stated the beds are not super comfortable but they are not awful, just not the top of the line beds typical of resort settings. They had 3 choices of places to eat, we ate at the sports bar and it was pretty good. Typical chain restaurant style bar food. I wish we would have tried the Vine restaurant instead. We gambled for a bit but most games, even the penny slots are at least a 50 cent minimum bet so it can be a little expensive if you are not a big gambler. I went to the Spa and had a facial. It was not great unfortunately. The products used were great but the facial itself felt rushed and just kind of no effort. My eyebrow make up and eye make up was still in tact at the end and it was definitely not worth 100 dollars. But, not a huge issue, I would try them again. The biggest challenge we had while there was getting the water hot! It took letting the water run for 10 minutes and more at times to be able to take more than a luke warm shower. It eventually got hot but put us in a bit of a time crunch. Overall the place is fine. New with the possibility of cool amenities.
