Still work to do to make it unforgettablePosted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: The natural surroundings, the peaceful environment and the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere but well attended.
Cons: All exterior details, gardens, cabins need great job of maintenance. Roofs need to be cleaned, gardens to be trimmed, paint jobs, repairs in general.
Location: So close to Houston (1 hour), amazing to find this natural place. Near by, not to much. Everything to be done in between the hotel.
We were transfer, as a courtesy to the Lanai House. Our first impression was of satisfaction for the election for a special celebration, however as we watched upon the details we found that maybe for years, there has not been any maintenance done to the surroundings and exterior areas. Too sad, since the place has an infrastructure, gardens and details that were well planned originally. Inside, the cabins are ok. Give a serious maintenance and repair and convert this place again in a dream spot.

Relaxing Texas B&BPosted Oct 3, 2011
If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, this place offers just that. The bungalow we stayed in was very secluded and was set in the middle of nature with a waterfall right outside the patio. Having no television in the living room and bedroom was a great excuse to converse and enjoy nature. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet get-a-way.

stay away!Posted Apr 3, 2009 on Hotels
When we arrived cabin had not been cleaned after previous occupants left even though we called before we arrived. Unable to contact anyone at the B&B by phone to rectify situation. Had to stay somewhere else. Difficult to get money refunded as manager will not answer phone. Definitely not a place to stay. Not as portrayed on website.
