The hotel itself was fine. The lobby and breakfast area was clean and comfortable. The pool was stifling hot and humid though. Breakfast was good and a lot of healthy choices compared to other places we stayed. Our room was a standard king and again, compared to other places we’ve stayed, it was small and compact but it was clean. Our room heater was very, very noisy! The daytime staff were friendly but the nighttime staff person was not very friendly. She was efficient and kept things running smoothly, but it would have been nice to feel welcomed and be greeted with a smile and a hello. Despite the issues listed, we’d probably stay there again if the price was good.

Parking was great, room was nice, no complaints at all. Would stay here again. Did not check out the pool, but the breakfast was amazing today. (04/12/24)

The front desk lady was very nice and helpful! We went in the pool and there wasn't any pool towels an i had asked if we could get some and she brought them in for us! Very awesome! And check in was great too!

Air/Heat noisy and hard to control. Bathroom: baseboards had unsightly grout on top of them. Shower heavy scratched. Need more closet space. Drawers under the vanity would have been nice. Bed was very comfortable.

All was generally OK and Melinda was excellent.
Hotel is nicely maintained and set up with conveniences. No room cleaning was offered or happened although we were able to ask for and receive towels, toilet paper and tissues during our 4 night stay. Melinda at front desk went out of her way to be helpful in helping me sort out how to get name changed on my Marriott account (after 8 year deceased husband name remained.)

Overall, enjoyed my stay at this establishment. Check in was a little rough as my flight didn’t get in until late and the check in attendant was very new on the job. However, all staff were very pleasant and the room was very nice with fridge, coffee maker and microwave. My only disappointment was the lack of a waffle maker at the breakfast buffet. Eggs were nice but I was on vacation and wanted something sweet to indulge in.

Although not bad, just not up to the standard of Fairfield Inn most Fairfield Inn have a mini Keurig in the room. (which is why when we travel we bring extra K cups, so that we can have coffee in our room with no issues and having traveled much at many Fairfield. That’s always been the case )These did not, they did, however, have the older drip version of a coffee maker, but then you need the coffee packs. also the lighting was extremely dark in the room just two lights by the bed. Definitely, reading was not an option. The staff was friendly and so there were no issues there.

Our room and the hotel were very clean. The breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff does an exceptionally good job of providing food, cleanliness, and being nice! The front desk was very helpful and polite.

Good hotel for this area of Cedar Rapids
The hotel was located in a very convenient area and stands out in a good way compared to other properties in the area. The continental breakfast was better than expected. We did have to ask for items for the bathroom a few days into our stay but the desk was accommodating when prompted.

We had stayed at this location recently, so we knew what to expect as far as accommodation, food, and the staff. However this stay we were traveling with our two cats, and they were very accommodating. You do have to pay a fee, but it’s nothing outrageous, and we were so glad to have a place we could count on after a long day of travel.

I loved the location from the airport. Very easy to navigate. Very very nice. Front desk lady that is going to college should run your Hotel if she doesn't already. The best front person I have met for a long time. We were there for my Granddaughter's college interview. She made me feel so comfortable talking with her about the interview. She was so hospitable to all that checked in. The property is beautifully maintained. If things go well and she gets the scholarship, I will be back! (Probably every month!) Thank you for hiring the best!
