Making reservations at one of the many Iowa hotels that are available gives you an opportunity to explore "The Heartland" in a way that you've never experienced before. While Iowa may not seem like it has much at first glance, in reality, there are all kinds of top rated attractions and natural landmarks to investigate. If you're planning on passing through, here are a few reasons to book Iowa hotel packages.

When booking hotels in Iowa, you definitely have a lot of options to choose from. The location of the attractions that you want to see should have a role in where you look for Iowa hotel deals.

If you are a nature enthusiast, you may want to look for cheap hotel deals in Iowa near Maquoketas Caves. This is one of the top outdoor attractions in the state and thousands of visitors come here every year.

One of the best places to find a cheap Iowa hotel deal is in the Des Moines area. One of the popular attractions is Adventureland, which is a large theme park that has thrill rides, entertainment, and some of the best dining options available. The Des Moines area has hundreds of rooms to consider from the ultimate in luxury to the more budget-conscious traveler.

If you're looking for special rates to take advantage of, you may want to come in the off-peak season. Most visitors come in the spring through the fall. The winters can get pretty cold in Iowa, so unless you plan on doing some snowmobiling or skiing, the other times of the year are ideal. Traveling at these times makes it possible for you to get a discount or other special prices on accommodations.

One of the most popular attractions in all of Iowa is the Amana Colonies. This is a destination that is made up of seven small villages. These villages were formed by German settlers and for the better part of 80 years, the economy was self-sufficient. It feels like going back in time to a simpler era. In the area, you can enjoy craft shopping, wood working, farming, and a number of other attractions.

The Blank Park Zoo is somewhere you might want to check out if you have kids, while the Iowa Speedway is a popular destination for fans of racing. Overall, Iowa has a little something for travelers of all kinds to enjoy.

Check in was smooth and the location was right downtown. The building was a cool historic structure. The room didn't have a fridge and the bathroom was smaller than most hotels. Also the closet was larger than necessary. Bed was nice and comfy and the staff was friendly. Overall it was a nice stay.

    "Nice hotel, close to restaurants"
Hotel was nice, peaceful. Close to interstate but I only heard a quiet hum from the cars going by. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The reading chair in the room was an unexpected bonus. All of the staff that I met were very friendly.

    "Relaxing stay"
The rooms were clean and nice but I had to request a fridge. The price was what made this a good deal because you'd spend more at a nearby upscale hotel. The casino was a typical lose-your-money scenario with a low win ratio. Maybe someone wins something but the machines just don't pay enough to keep you playing. I was really taken aback when I set down to play at the bar and after losing for 10 minutes asked for a drink. The bartender told me $5.50 for a shot! Wow, really? I would have sat there and lost much more if the drinks were free like a real casino. The buffet was a pretty good deal with good offerings and great staff. I t was nice to go eat without braving the weather outside. If you need a place to stay and don't have a gambling problem, this is a great choice for Davenport/ quad cities area.
