"A Thai resort that blends traditional and modern styles, set in a quiet, isolated village.
Friendly staff, a clean room (Zone 1), and enjoyable dining with live music made for a pleasant stay.
The only downside was the bathroom odor, likely coming from the drain.

"Es waren wundervolle Tage bei Paul und Nui. Alles super gepflegt und angelegt. Wir waren mit dem eigenen Pkw da und somit unabhängig, ohne Pkw ist es evtl. etwas abseits. Aber die Eigentümer sind sehr hilfsbereit und organisieren auch Ausflüge. Wir kommen sicher wieder, wenn wir in der Gegend sind. "

"I paid $6. You get what you pay for. I got a bed, a cold-water shower with towels, a toilet, and a fan (no airconditoning). I was traveling alone and that's what I wanted. The place is old and beat to death. Good location. The owner is an old unfriendly grumpy unsmiling guy - but I wasn't staying there to make friends. Noisy AF - and especially so early in the morning. Not much to do in the town - but OK to walk around for 1/2 day. I found a good dim sum place for breakfast. If you are looking...

"This is a hidden gem. Cabanas in a beautiful setting on a moat by the river entrance to the lake. Almost empty because tourism hasn’t come back here like the rest of the country. Amazing staff, good food, great prices and they’ll arrange a tour to Thale Noi too. A highlight of our trip."

The most popular time to visit Cha-Uat is from November to February, when the weather is comfortably cool, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 80s Fahrenheit. This dry season provides an ideal backdrop for exploring the region's natural beauty, including its stunning national parks and unique landscapes.
As you plan your adventure in Cha-Uat, you'll find that this period is characterized by a vibrant atmosphere, with both locals and tourists enjoying outdoor activities. Hiking the trails of nearby Si Phan Don National Park or visiting the picturesque waterfalls becomes a delightful experience during these months, allowing you to fully appreciate the area's charm.
For those who value a quieter experience, consider visiting in late October or early November. This time is often less crowded, and while you might still enjoy pleasant weather, you can take advantage of fewer tourists at popular sites like the stunning Khao Luang National Park. It's a great chance to enjoy serene moments in nature and immerse yourself in local culture without the hustle and bustle.
