"Bon gîte à prix raisonnable.Accès routier un peu difficile car très petite rue en pente. Attention à ne pas se fier entièrement à Google qui nous a fait prendre un sens unique à l'envers. "We loved our stay here, a quiet little town in the Pyrenees. The house was charming, situated right by the river, with lots of beds for the whole family. Christian went out of his way to help us resolve an issue we had with the internet. He was very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place."

"This old stone cottage in a small village is a gem; comfortable, well furnished, and in a beautiful area. Local information from Marc and a greeting and orientation from Alain were both excellent. We ventured in a different direction each day and particularly enjoyed Mirepoix and its restaurants and Monday market. Special thanks to Alain."

"La maison a de beaux volumes, très bien située dans un petit village au calme. Belle piscine bien entretenue. Mais il n’y a qu’un petit drap de bain prévu par personne pour tout votre séjour ( nous sommes restés 2 semaines.) Ce n’est vraiment pas assez, comment on fait avec la piscine et la douche ? Pas de coussin de chaises le long de la piscine, comment on fait avec ces petites serviettes pour ne pas se brûler contre le plastique des chaises? Il y a un éclairage au pourtour et dans la piscine...

"Nice house, well equipped, very clean and with a large veranda and lovely pool. The children loved Sylvie's pets. Sylvie herself was always on hand to help out with various difficulties, - we needed a garage, for instance and she suggested a local firm. The countryside around Routier is gentle hills with the Pyrenees in the distance. There is lots to do and see and we would have happily stayed for another week had this been possible."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to South West France. Alan and Barbara are perfect hosts - warm, welcoming and thoughful- nothing was too much trouble and they anticipated and met our every need. The house is spacious and well-equipped and pool and garden delighful. The setting is fabulous - peaceful and relaxing with georgous views over fields and woodland and the foothills of the Pyrenees Audoise. "We were 3 generations, visiting family that live in Quillan, and we had a really lovely time here. The house really a family home that you are staying in, so really felt like a home from home as does have everything you could need, which included all you could want in the kitchen and so many toys and games that our 18 month old grandaughter did not stop for 10 days. "The apartments are nice but the hotel is located at the junction of two mountain rivers which are very noisy. The internet said that the hotel had 24hr reception but it is only open for limited hours and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The hotel swimming pool was also closed for the first part of our visit. Probably all this was incorporated into the price we paid but the advertising didn't state it."

Tranquil and relaxing stay in a beautiful area
"We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to South West France. Alan and Barbara are perfect hosts - warm, welcoming and thoughful- nothing was too much trouble and they anticipated and met our every need. The house is spacious and well-equipped and pool and garden delighful. The setting is fabulous - peaceful and relaxing with georgous views over fields and woodland and the foothills of the Pyrenees Audoise. Just outside Chalabre, the location is great for exploring the upper Aude and Arriege area and there is good walking and some fine eating in the area. I'd recommend an early visit to the tourist office (Office Intercommunale) to pick up individual walks leaflets. Alan and Barbara have an excellent library of novels, history and French language, history and culture books, so save weight in your luggage. Our weather was varied- unseasonably cool and damp on some days, very warm and sunny on others, but there are places to visit and things to do whatever the weather. We'd thoroughly recommend it and may well return ourselves."
