Great walkable location in Charlotte

Loved the location, so many great restaurants, breweries and coffee close by. Beautiful neighborhood with lots of trees and gardens. The birds and traffic were a bit noisy, but we slept very comfortably. Management was very responsive when we needed something.

The apartment is wonderful! Clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The kitchen came complete with coffee maker, and our hosts even provided orange juice and English muffins for breakfast! The location is fantastic, with lots of nearby restaurants and parks, and easy access to attractions.

Amazing Host, Great Location, Cozy Place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Charlotte and would reserve this property again. The hosts made us feel completely welcome with goodies and drinks upon arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked and the place was very clean. We spent a lot of time on the lovely front porch and walked to restaurants nearby. The host was responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this property.

Great Apartment, Great Location, Great Time!

this apartment rental was perfect for us. The décor is hip and fun, everything worked great and the little extras made it a really wonderful stay. Snacks, fruit, breakfast goods, wine ,and cocktails from the owners really made us feel at home quickly. Having the local papers there also helped us plug-in to Charlotte . Communication with The Home Collection was great and they mde it so easy to get in and get out. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Nice location.

Tastefully decorated. Owners are super responsive. A broken shower head was replaced immediately. I would recommend staying here. My reason for not giving 5 stars is it needs a more thorough Spring cleaning. Possibly due to construction in the area.

Great place/very comfy

It was out first time to Charlotte and we really enjoyed our stay here. It is pretty much a 10 minute drive to any of the neighborhoods we wanted to go to. Charlie was available anytime we had a question and quickly resolved any issues. The place was extremely clean. It had everything to make you feel comfortable. I love the old charm of the apartment. It it was so nice, they even leave you wine, pasta, snacks etc to use when you get there. The bed was comfortable. And our doggy was able to stay. Also there are some great areas to go for a run if you like with lots of parks near by. And Trader Joes right down the street! I would definitely stay again.

Great apartment, great neighborhood

We stayed 4 nights at Hawthorn 1 in late April. The apartment was exactly as pictured - lovely décor and very comfortable. We brought our dogs and the surrounding neighborhood was perfect for long dog walks - shady sidewalks and a nearby park - the ground floor unit was very convenient. We arrived in the evening after a long day on the road and were thrilled to find wine and snacks waiting for us. The covered porch is a wonderful place for a glass of wine in the evening, lounging with a book in the afternoon, and morning coffee. The unit has a washer and dryer if needed and there a many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Museums and other attractions are an easy drive. We will absolutely recommend the Hawthorn to anyone traveling to Charlotte.

Comfortable and Convenient

The apartment is older (50s kitchen, bath), but it is a comfortable stay thanks to everything working, the cleanliness, and excellent furniture. From the art to the snacks to the dishwasher and washer/dryer with soap, this unit is a comfortable home away from home. The management was immediately responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed walking to the many unique restaurants in the area. Had a GREAT meal/drinks at Intermezzo and fun dancing at Petra's. Several good places to go between those, which makes for an easy night out. The neighborhood is walkable, quiet, and nice. Parked next to building entire holiday weekend, so that shouldn't usually be a problem. Unless this is changed, only advice is to turn on the shower and then adjust the water temp.

Excellent Visit

I had the pleasure of staying here Feb 5th - 8th 2016 and theres so many good things and personal touches that made the visit feel like being at home. Its a older residence but very well taken care of and it reminded me of visits with my grandmother and some of the places she stayed. The intent of my visit was to be in this area and to watch the Panthers win the Superbowl (I'm sure they will next year). There was an initial issue with my receiving email with arrival instructions that had me concerned, but once I called Charlie, everything was fine. He also adds a very nice personal touch with food left as well as OJ, water, wine and several liquors. He's very pleasant to talk to and avail to help with any questions concerning the rental (I had a couple and he was was able to help me with those very quickly). I enjoy visiting Charlotte and esp this area and look forward to coming back. THANKS CHARLIE FOR A WONDERFUL STAY

Enjoyable, but loud stay...

The property was immaculate upon my arrival. You can tell the owners that great pride is presenting a quality home to their guests. I enjoyed the wine and snacks...and for breakfast they had orange juice and english muffins available. This is a very central location. My only and biggest complaint is there was a construction zone right in front of the unit. The noise was so loud it was shaking the building. I could barely hear myself think and this noise woke me up every morning. Guess I should've done more research before choosing this property. I'd likely stay in one of their properties again, but I would do more research so I don't have the frustration of staying in a construction zone again.
