Next time, I would definitely request a room at the front of the hotel, as the parking and unloading area at the back gets noisy very first thing with deliveries and bin lorries and we were woken up both days. "We havexstayed at this hotel quite a few times on the way through France. The room is small but becauseit isnonly for one night this is not a problem.it is clean and the staff are pleasant and helpful. However there always seems to be a niggle with the room. This time the air-conditioning wasn't functioning , the time before the flush on the toilet kept running . I feel the hotel needs a refurbishment."

"The hotel has changed hands since the last time we stayed but the atmosphere remains. A bit quaint and we did have a room overlooking the river. Quite nice. Rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast is extra and just minimal with coffee and croissants. Front staff was very chatty and friendly. It is about 2 or 3 blocks to reach restaurants and we tried two different ones and both were quite good. "

"Apart from a sub standard room. Air con or heating was at the discretion of the manager or hotel. Of course you could open the window. Breakfast compared with another Mercure at Troyes our previous stay was a joke. Just a coffee machine and disinterested staff. Not even cutlery on our table. Do not go there. A shame for the mercure name. "

"This place is beautiful, rooms are spacious and comfortable and in pristine condition. I slept perfectly. They also offer local wines, or beer and soft drinks, for easy purchase from the bar area. The owner is delightful and will handle any local activities including wine tasting, if of interest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"This is the absolute worst hotel I’ve stayed in over the last 20 years ! The star ratings should be -2 , how can it be a 2 star . Our room was a double , the bathroom had a bath , with, Shower head,& old shower curtain , this is an accident waiting to happen , the original bath was not designed for people to stand in & shower , so slippery , just not safe . The skirtings were dirty , the electric heater , original , was rusty , hair dryer , close to the sink , But the worst was the major Sewer...
