"We loved our stay at The Yair. We booked it for its proximity to the river Tweed for fly fishing and found that the river runs past the property; complete with fishing hut and a gillie! The property’s owner was great in his communication and was available for anything we needed. It was fascinating to learn from him about the history of the property. Our cottage was beautiful and the hot tub was a nice addition. We would stay here again, independent of fishing."

"Absolutely love everything about this property! Honestly could have used the entire week just roaming around the gorgeous estate grounds . And that walled garden!?! Just a dream😍 The Fall colors were breathtaking! Super comfy bed! Cozy kitchen and living area. Great shower! Everything you need! Loved the lemon drizzle bread made by Hannah and Ollie was so kind to come and rescue us when we locked ourselves out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

"We asked that a different email be used on 9/4 as i no longer have access to the email used. No acknowledgment of this was received. Again we asked on 9/22, the day before our checkin, that you use our new email provided. Absolutely no response to our request, no one responded to our request or answer the "emergency" no. We received the passcode by text, and a response TO that text went unanswered as well. Extremely disappointed. Will not use Vrbo again."

"A beautiful cottage in a secluded area with lovely views of surrounding hills and forest. The photos dont do it justice, it is much bigger in reality. It is very well equipped, and beds very comfortable with spotless linen. Even in cold weather, the cottage has more than enough radiators and a very efficient log burner to keep you warm. "If you need somewhere to stay in a tranquil setting then look no further than the left luggage office. It is a little gem. It has everything you need for a really comfortable stay and more. We have stayed at many excellent rentals but can honestly say that this was the best. Ruth and Paul were in touch to ascertain we had everything we needed and had no problems and their welcome gift was a lovely touch and much appreciated"

"We had such a lovely weekend here as a family! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The spa was beautiful and so relaxing, and the treatments were amazing. Our room was spacious, super comfortable. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and delicious. If I had to mention one small thing, the hot tub and pool could have been a little warmer — but that’s honestly the only tiny thing in an otherwise perfect stay. The whole place has such a calm, luxurious feel, and it was lovely to find somewhere that feels indulgent but still really family-friendly. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already talking about when we can come back!"

"The Townhouse is a fantastic well run hotel with a friendly team who were very welcoming. We had a comfortable tastefully decorated room with a kettle, tea, biscuits, bottled water and a fan heater if we needed additional warmth. The bathroom was compact with small shower gel/shampoo bottles along with lovely soft hand and bath towels. The choice for breakfast was extensive with fruit salad, porridge, a full Scottish and choice of eggs being offered along with tea/coffee and fruit juices! What we had was delicious. We would love to stay here again. "

"The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. "Stayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I can’t recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay. Not forgetting the pub attached……where we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie we’ve ever had with great personal service too. We’d highly recommend the Rose & Thistle and look forwards to staying again when next in the area."
