The hotel itself was great, but the constant drag racing outside at 3am got a little old. If you can sleep through anything you're going to love it here, if you're a light sleeper like me, maybe look for something else a little more off the beaten path.

NO HOTEL PARKING. The hotel/staff itself were very nice. Small rooms. But if you are looking to stay here for a convention. Its a 25min walk to Mccormick, and you'd pay $16 a day to park at chinatown parking, and if you dont want to walk, $25 for convention parking. So beware. There is no where that we knew this or were warned.

This was our first time staying at the Jaslin Hotel, but it won't be our last. We typically stay in the Loop or up by Loyola, but both areas were more expensive than usual this time. The Jaslin Hotel had very good reviews, and the price was exceptionally good, so we gave it a try. The location is really convenient. We arrived by car, so it was right off the freeway. It was 1.5 blocks to the Chinatown-Cermak Red Line station. Parking was initially a problem, since we had never been to the area, but after checking in, the staff explained where the public lot was (right beside the Red Line stop). The 24-hour rate at the time of our stay was $16 if you didn't need in-and-out privileges (it is totally automated for payment). I had no worries about parking in the area as it was well-lit and camera monitored. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and professional. The room was standard "Chicago-small", but there was plenty of room for our gear. It was very clean. There isn't a breakfast option (included or paid) and the closest breakfast-ish place is a Starbucks a few blocks away. They do have a microwave in the lobby and there was a fridge in our room, so you could manage on your own if you planned in advance. The only drawback to our room was that it had a GREAT view of the Chicago downtown... right across from the fire station. There were about 4 night calls during our stay, but it wasn't enough to really change our review. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place to stay for a night. Clean, friendly staff, lots of shops close to the hotel. Parking is a block away but not a bad price for a 24hr spot! It was also close to the red line which takes you directly into downtown. Loved the vibe of Chinatown! Unique shops and dining options were great. I wish there were a few more amenities at the hotel (like a pool or breakfast or something!). Overall, this was a great place for a weekend away.

Great spot in Chinatown with easy walking to great food and shopping. Rooms are average nothing to write home about. If you're looking for clean, comfortable and safe place to come back to after being out and about this is a good choice.

A nice highly recommended hotel
Visited Chicago with my family member for a few days, and enjoyed very much staying in this hotel. It is in a very good location with plenty choices of restaurants nearby. Room is clean and staff very helpful. A 10-min walk to the exhibition center and 3-min walk to CTA station. If you are finding a hotel in downtown area with reasonable price and excellent location, Jaslin is right for you.

The hotel was great to stay at and had all the amenities that hotels should have. Also a great neighborhood to walk around and is close to the Red Line train. The only downside was that the parking was a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

There are lots of negative reviews on this hotel and as someone who has stayed at a lot of different places in Chicago, I'd say this one is pretty middle of the road. There's a mini fridge and a coffee maker in the room. Vending on site. The woman who checked me in was very professional and informative and was able to suggest good places to eat nearby. The night door attendants were cheerful and helpful. You do have to use your key card to access your floor, and to use the electricity as well. This puts some people off, but it's something I've seen before at other hotels in the area and I rather like it. There is no tub, so I hope you like showers. Although the bathroom and room in general were very clean, I did sort of feel like I should have had shower shoes for the shower. It was reminiscent of my high school pool showers. I didn't use the shampoo or lotion provided in the bathroom, but the lotion had been previously used and was over half empty. That was kinda janky. Beds are firm and there were only two pillows that aren't very plush provided in my queen bed, so if you're a pillow person you might want to bring an extra with you. I rated the Jaslin 3 stars as it is quite bare bones. However, if you're attending an event at Radius or at the Convention Center, it's very convenient, clean, and competitively priced.

It’s a good value for the price. Cleaning is every other day. Location is within the Chinatown and a walking distance from McCormick Place. The most terrible thing is that they have locked 100$ of my card and still locked till now, even after more than a week from my check out date!!!

Spent about $100+tax on a last minute day-of booking. Room was clean and comfy. Location is excellent, Chicago has a great China town and this hotel is in the perfect spot to explore that.

Staying in Chinatown was perfect for us. Location of jaslin was perfect. A lot of great Asian foods and souvenir shops. We really enjoyed it. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond especially for a 3 star hotel. There isn’t complimentary breakfast but there is a Starbucks right next to the hotel which is always great to have. Exactly what we needed, just a simple clean hotel with a great location.

A definite hidden gem!!
I enjoyed my stay at what I’ve learned is quite a hidden gem in Chicago’s Chinatown! Less than a five minute walk from the Cermak-Chinatown subway station, the Jasmine Hotel was a convenient, very comfortable, clean and quiet boutique hotel.
