8/10 Very Good! (1,006 reviews)
Put into a room as far away from the reception/amenities as was possible. My wife was staying as a single female and she didn’t feel safe. She spoke to reception who moved her closer but still was in a poor room and my wife wasn’t impressed with the attitude of the reception staff.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (281 reviews)
Beautiful hotel in an excellent setting. The staff were exceptionally helpful. However, the room (room 24) was rather small, especially the bathroom, and the lighting was terrible creating deep shadows. The food in restaurant was very good, enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast

"Rooms were basic and dated and would benefit from a refurb, having said that my room was clean and ok. Towels and beding were good and hot water was plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful and parking was fine. Great high street location. Pictures are of the premium rooms I suspect. Basic but ..."

"I class this hotel as a work in progress, however having since read other reviews it seems to have been for a long time.
