"We just wanted a quiet get away for a couple of days close to the North Cascades. We had hoped to see the fall foliage but it turned out we came a couple weeks early for the best of that. We stopped by the ranger station there in Darrington, and then drove up to Rockport and on to Newhalem to see what fall leaves we could. The cabin was quiet, clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the back deck and also sitting beside the Sauk River in the back of the property."

"The cabin was wonderful, it's clear the owners care about the property and have been adding to it in practical ways too, not just making it look nice for photos. It was well equipped in all the details. The deck area is huge, super comfortable, and full of great spaces. The view is amazing too, we spent a lot of our weekend just sitting outside watching the river go by and the sun creep across the mountain. We'd absolutely go back."
