#### A Very Colmar Christmas

Our trip to Germany, France, and Switzerland started with a Rhine River Cruise to enjoy the magic and beauty of The famed Christmas markets and the scenery and history of the River. Very enjoyable cruise, but unfortunately cut short by high water making it impossible to travel all the way to Basel. The representative/agent of this flat was most accomodating and fortunately was able to give us access a day earlier than planned at the going rate. We stayed for 10 nights and absolutely loved being in the heart of Colmar. To our surprise, we found it a quiet neighborhood for where we were at Christmas, and restful. It was such a pleasure to be able to take walks everyday - out and about the Christmas and flea markets; being located on the Cathedral Square is ideal! The train station was a walk away so one could easily travel to Basel or Strassberg for a day trip though there is plenty to do in Colmar. Highly recommend the Musee of Medieval Art - beautiful and extensive collection! This was our first Christmas not being at home, but the memories we have from Colmar made it a wonderful holiday, nonetheless. Having a well-equipped kitchen and washer was most appreciated and all the living areas were well-used during our stay. A sauna and spa-like room contribute to the vacation-frame of mind! Thank you for a most pleasant and Joyeaux Noel!
