they charged my cc before my arrival, was suppose to pay cash for 2 rooms 2 nights, property looked horrible, loose and missing tiles on floor, dead bugs in corners and in the lights in the ceilings, half of the lights didnt work at all, grimy faucets and tubs, had to line the bottom of the tubs with towels to use them, the grime was so bad, years of buildup, microwave was dirty, no shampoo/conditioner, no ice bucket, no cups , had to use hands to cup water to brush teeth, smoke alarm was filthy, so old not sure it would of worked, no phone in room and my husband had just got out of the hospital, what if there was an emergency, needed toilet paper and no staff was there, told the guy we didnt want anyone in our room and that we would come up for clean towels when needed, he told us not to worry that he would be the only one to go into it to clean, NO HOUSEKEEPING STAFF AT ALL, he was the only one. this place needs to be tore down, one section is shut down rooms are unusable, had to go redo key cards 3 times,plug anything into electric sockets and get a growling static noise, the boxsprings mattress had mold on it and was rotting away, sheets put on sideways, omg to much to list, i would not have checked in if he wouldnt of charged my credit card for the 2 rooms for 2 nights about 5 hours before my arrival, i called around 10 am to confirm and let them know i was on my way , they couldnt find my reservations from hotels.com, but, yet they had my cc info scary, need a refund

I was in town for the ms 150 and Grumpy's was the only hotel near la grange w/rooms left. The staff was very friendly but the place was waaaay too rundown to charge $70/ night. If I am in the same situation next year where i can not find any other hotels , i'll just sleep in my car.

I read some bad reviews before I stayed here but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Boy, was I wrong. This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen in my life. The floor was sticky, the towels and sheets were dingy, the bathtub had been finished with wall paint, the chain lock had been kicked in, the dead bolt opened when you turned the handle from the outside, we were able to get 4 channels on the TV but they came in sideways, the entire thing was in complete disrepair and I was actually uncomfortable parking my car in the lot. This was the kind of place you see in horror movies. Just don't do it. If I ever go out to Flatonia again, I'd rather sleep in my car on the side of the freeway.

Hotel needs to be closed. Front door handle was held on with electric tape, rooms were filthy, pool was dirty. No matter how tired you are-keep driving!
