"Never stayed at hotel where you couldn’t get (at least) a cup of coffee in the morning. We paid for a room with a kitchen’s however the coffeemaker was a joke. Nothing but warm water. After paying over $400cad we had to purchase a beach chair to sit by the dinky little pool…pictures are misleading. The hotel is not on the beach you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic for food or a coffee! If you looking for a budget hotel..this is it! Beds were comfortable."

"Our first time at the Pelican. Been going to Pompano/Fort Lauderdale for theast 10 years in February. It is a nice place but expensive (compared to comparable beach resorts). The parking alone is $70.00 a night for a truck and there is a resort fee of roughly $50.00 per day. Evian water bottles in room have $4.00 signs and a larger glass water bottle goes for $7.00\. Just felt i was nickel and dimed for everything. "
