“I was in the area of Albert, France to tour sites associated with the WWI battle of the Somme in 1916. I thought this place was just wonderful. The room I had was clean and comfortable with a very nice modern walk in shower. The hostess/owner, Muriel spoke English which I appreciated. She did a fabulous job on the breakfast each morning. It's just a couple of miles away from the town of Albert and she told me that there is a factory down at the end of the road that makes parts for Airbus planes……

“Having been told there was plenty of parking we arrived to find a car rally had taken virtually every space. When we enquired whether there would be spaces later on our return from going out for dinner we were told we could park on nearby streets, not very appealling with a fully packed car! In the end the rally had left by the time we got back, though why reception didn't say this heaven only knows! Otherwise a perectly functional hotel well postioned for visiting the local area.”

“First of all, the room didn’t resemble any of the pictures shown on the website. Our room reeked of old cigarr and we had to have our Windows opened at all times. The beds were not comfortable and really worn out, and the toilet and the shower resembled more those found aboard ships.
