"Herdade Do Touril is one of the nicest places we have stayed in our many travels around the world. The facilities are quite nice and well maintained. The property is like none other, surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland. It’s quiet, relaxing and one gets a sense of bring “away from it all” and yet there are miles of walking and biking trails along the ocean as well as through the farming areas. "Stunning resort & brilliant for kids, with loads of activities & 4 different pools. Only gripe is with the cost of the food, far too expensive e.g €25 for a burger in one restaurant & when Sagres town is a hefty walk with young children in tow, you have little option but to eat on site. On reflection we wish we’d got an apt with a kitchen so we could’ve self catered"

"My review is difficult as we arrived to be told that a computer malfunction meant that our 2 rooms were occupied. We agreed to move to another hostel, it was good. They should have notified us before. Also payment has been taken out and paid back 4 times now, incurringinternational currency charges each time. I have requested an explanation, but no answer so far. They need to work on their communication."

"Monica and her staff are wonderful, the property is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is delicious and generous. For us, after 3.5 weeks of busy travel this was a perfect location to chill. We hung out during the day at the beaches, returned to shower and go back to town for dinner. It’s only 12 min to town/beach. Great place to stay, highly recommend!"

"Easy to park and access. Check in was smooth. Our room was on the second floor with a window looking out to the coast. We could open the window and listen to the waves all night. So close to everything. The bed was amazing! Huge bathtub and lots of warm water. The breakfast filled us up with many options for breads, pastries, coffees…the elevator made it really easy to move our luggage to the room. "
