"This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there. I cannot...

"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"The room was lovely, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! The pub below is a bit noisy at night and can go quite late but was ok with ear plugs. There were also different addresses on the listing and I couldn’t reach the host to confirm, but thankfully there is only 1 pub in the village so I was able to confirm the address through emailing the pub directly and they responded very quickly via email.Just a couple minutes drive from the coast - it’s such a beautiful area!"

We were only there for the one night visit because we wanted to see the shoebill stork at Exmoor Zoo but would definitely return if we going to be in the area again."

The only reason I have dropped a star is that on a warm summer evening the rooms (no a/c) do get very stuffy even with the window wide open and the fan on. The extractor fan noise from outside then doesn’t help when you’re already struggling to sleep. The restaurant is absolutely amazing!"
