The homeless tent city that popped up around 9:30 pm was terrifying. All night long the area became more and more crowded with loud, drugged out stinky homeless people and it was scary hearing them freak out all night. The area also stunk heavily of urine from them and even though my work was a 2 minute walk away from the room. I took a $40 Uber because of how irate a lot of them were. My Uber driver told me to never stay in this area again and to avoid walking at all times because of how dangerous it is. The room was nice, the floors were concrete but clean. I did like all of the space and the building had adequate security in place. But the area outside of the building was just so dangerous. To top it off one of the window screen that rolls down was missing so on the 2nd night when the police ran off the homeless their cop lights flashed in my window ALL NIGHT long. But again, the building was nice and clean inside and the rooms were spacious and it definitely felt like an apartment and not a hotel. So that was nice but I’d never come back because of the homeless people. It’s nothing against the hotel but I always travel with my kids and it was too sketchy for my personal tastes.
