It is an older, historic hotel, which I like. Great place to stay. Staff were also great.

Great hotel, definitely a historic vibe. The Ship Tavern is awesome and feels like the real old school deal.Ellingtons had a great brunch and loved the live piano and brass accompaniment on Sunday morning. Palace Arms was a nice late night stop for a final night cap and cigar if you're into that. The hotel is a bit outdated, could use a touch up, but everything was in working order nonetheless. Rooms are small, but this is what you get in historic hotels, so we expected it. Just be prepared to be in a small space. It can add to the historic feel if you prepare yourself. Overall a nice hotel and great experience!

Beautiful historic property with many dining and bar options, both within the hotel and surrounding areas. The parking options were limited. The valet overnight was $59, so we found another parking garage nearby.

A charming hotel with a great vibe. Staff is very friendly. Can be noisy at times due to conventions and the set up of the hallways, but for the most part it is relaxing. Somewhat frustrating that neither the safe nor the ceiling fan was not working in room. Also somewhat frustrating that no wash cloths were provided nor bottled water (on the first stay). Would suggest a mini bar with food and drinks in the room. The store across the street is nice, but would rather not leave to get a snack. Shower temperature and pressure were not the best Overall, even with some inconveniences, I enjoyed my stay and will more than likely return quite frequently. Thank you.

I enjoyed the feel of the property - it’s a hotel with a character for sure! They hold their tea time every afternoon with live music - it added a lot of charm to the property! It shows signs of time but not in a bad way at all! Ship tavern is a chill place to have an evening drink.

Loved the historic hotel it was beautiful, nice big rooms and lots of options for food and drink and formal tea time. Along with the historic side of things age is a given which showed in a door hard to close, slow draining pipes/shower, and questionable patch jobs in different areas of the hotel, old ceiling tiles etc. we also visited the spa, good service however not too many extra amenities - only a steam room beyond the service purchased. Would we stay again, yes, but not the spa .
