The room was very cold and the heat didn’t work. They sent up an “engineer” and he said the steam was shut off and it takes 2 days to restart it. Apparently they thought the weather would be warm enough and heat was not needed in the hotel. My room was 63 degrees. After several hours on the second day of my two night stay they found a space heater and brought it to my room.

Beautiful historic hotel. But could use some fixing up. One of the faucets in our bathroom needed attention. The door to our room was hard to open and close. And we couldn’t get our AC below 72 degrees. Mostly little things but enough of them to make it annoying. However the staff was great.

The property was very cool and we loved the history of it and learning all about it. Our bed was a 3/5. The room wouldnt go below 71°, so we were hot all night and then add the unformfortable bed; we didnt sleep well. We asked to have the A/C looked at and a box fan was left in our room. We didnt use it becuase we had a ceiling fan that moved a lot of air,; albeit it was warm air. So, I am sure their A/C system needs updating. Also, the room was clean but carpets needed vacuuming as well did all the the hallways.

Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, it has great history. Parking is valet only and to get to the front was a bit difficult. Would recommend staying there again.
