All of the nice things said by other reviewers about this place are absolutely true. It is a nice facility, the service is top Notch and the on-site restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The only negatives during our stay were a shower that would only get lukewarm and Wi-Fi that was always less than one Mbps. Note that this little town is over 11,000 ft. elevation, so be prepared for the high altitude.

Beautiful! I loved staying at this property! I really took advantage of early morning dips in the hot springs pools! I love that the pools are more natural than overly modernized. Everything is very clean and serine. The only downside is that the staff were not entirely helpful. I asked about getting transportation, and they sent me to a travel agency and the agency never responded. Also, they just said if I want to take public transport, I should take a bus to Yangue. When I arrived, there were...

The owner, Guillermo, empowers his staff to exceed expectations -- they are extremely responsive, friendly, and accommodating, prepared to adapt to unforeseen issues to solve them quickly and wonderfully.
They have excellent English and respond to email and phone inquiries promptly and fully. They arranged our tour from Puno to their lodge, into Colca Canyon and onto Arequipa, making it very easy for us to stay at Killawasi for two days and two nights, to enjoy hikes in the surrounding hills and...

The level of service it offers, given the small town and remoteness of Cabanaconde, was exceptional. Very comfortable triple room for our family. Food was great. Extensive menu with fresh trout included. Spa services available. And Gaudi, who greets you at the front desk , goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. The waitstaff in the restaurant were very friendly. Overall, we couldn’t have been more pleased with this hotel.

Late June (cold winter) 2025: Very Good (and new) hotel that is centrally located. Market is 3 minute walk and restaurants a 7 min walk - neighborhood is safe to walk in at night; has fast WiFi; heat in room via an electric heater (ask for it); good bed and blankets: my wife and I were warm overnight - no need to sleep in extra pajamas (compare with Puno); TV worked fine. Room was decent size and had lots of shelves for storing packs etc. Note that the best rooms are on the 4th and 5th floors -...
