Serenade All Suites - Adults Only Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The property was very nice, room was clean and very large. Property is well maintained, lots of staff keeping it clean and helping guests. We did the Elite service package which was nice - you have your own private pool area, upgraded menu items at some of the restaurants, access to the rooftop bar/pool area with a great view of the ocean, a bottle of expensive booze(!) and a personal butler to help with anything you need - Alan was great and responsive to our needs and requests. He helped with our dinner reservations mainly and checked in throughout our stay. Food was pretty good - buffet was fine, lots of options. We did Hibachi (our favorite), prime steakhouse (really good), Italian (good) and French gourmet (just OK). We also checked out the sports bar on the family side of the resort which was OK too. Coffee shop on site with lots of different drinks was also a bonus. Overall great experience, very friendly staff from bartenders to pool attendants. Had a very relaxing time with lots of tasty drinks. Would recommend to others."

"Our rooftop plunge pool suite was amazing, a vacation in itself. They had a bottle of champagne and 4 bottles of top shelf alcohol and a full frig stocked and ready for us. We loved everything it not a memorable experience with food, the breakfast buffet was very good, and the Mexican restaurant was terrific. Grilled wings at the Sports Bar were so good. Coffee cafe was excellent, was very spoiled with the options."

"Property was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. Rooms were nice, but not as well maintained. Description for the swim up suite stated "private pool", this was not acurate at all. You share a small pool with all the other rooms in your row, and there is seating directly in front of your "private pool" for other random people to sit and they can see directly into your room and are within conversation distance. Not private at all. Phone App to contact butler and book restaurants and room service did not work. Room service for breakfast one morning and order was wrong. Staff was mostly nice, my favorite staff were the bartenders by the beach, spcifically Francisco! He was fun and made soem really great drinks for us! Beach was beautiful, some sargassum, but still able to swim. Beautiful blue water, plenty of lounge chairs, plenty of towels. ATM machines were broken in multiple lobbies during the entire visit, unable to take out extra money for tipping. Food was good, we enjoyed the steakhouse a lot. Pools were quiet and boring, and only played music for a few mins a day. If you want to meditate or have silence, this is a great environment for you, but we enjoy music and fun during our trips, so this wasn't the best place for us. We walked over to Palladium and the pool full of families with kids had more of a fun atmosphere and music than TRS. I was here in 2018 and it felt a lot more upscale back then, not sure if I would return again."

"Power outages, too many people and small areas to fit everybody, A/C poor on common areas, bars not inside pool, pool without shadow area, bars only with draft beer, if bottle beer then walk to a far away bar or call 0 at room service, noisy buffet, restaurant reservations are impossible due to small areas for large crowds, night show needs to update to keep people interested. Best is to have a room with private pool and use room service during breakfast and lunch, probably restaurants reservations available for party of 2, for 4 or more impossible"

"Las facilidades están muy bonitas. Pero nos hicieron perder 5 horas de ese primer día intentando vendernos un programa que ellos le llaman Privilege. Al no comprar la membresía de $20,000, se notó la indiferencia en el trato. Me sentí como que nos querían vender un timeshare. Otra situación fue que el concierge que nos asignaron, nunca contestó los mensajes de WhatsApp. La pasamos bien, pero prefiero darme la oportunidad en otra propiedad."

"My only complaints are that the sargassum was an issue up until the day before we left. I understand Mother Nature has its own plans but I was hoping the resort would be on top of it daily. The other complaint is that it was nearly impossible for getting $1 bills in change, even when making purchases in the gift store. I understand there are challenges with larger bills in the DR but eventually ran out of ones and fives, making it hard to properly and affordably tip. Lesson learned on my end that I should have brought all 5’s and 1’s. We made it work but wished there was a better system for those who were not fully prepared. Again it’s really no fault other than our own. And I’m sure the sargassum could have been much worse. Thankfully the pool was a great too! All the staff were very friendly and appear to work very hard making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in ages! Loved being able to walk out to the pool from our room."
