We loved how easy it was to take the S Bahn and walk across the path to the hotel. It could not be easier/shorter distance. Nicely maintained hotel.
Lovely proximity to walk down Main Street of Echterdingen.
In general the room was clean and comfortable with general amenities. Except the AC was not working and it was roasting in our room. We called the front desk as soon as we checked in and they told us just to wait, it takes time…we sweated through the night.
The next day a German friend we were visiting called the front desk when she learned we had no AC. They told her they had some technical problems and would put a fan in our room for our second night. Somehow the AC in the lobby was working. In a hotel that size, were there really no rooms to move us to with functioning AC?

We stayed for four nights. Our room was spacious, full of character, and had plenty of storage. It included a separate side room for our two adult sons and a balcony, which was a nice bonus.
The air conditioning cooled the main room well but didn't reach the side bedroom, which stayed quite warm. Our coffee sachets weren't replenished, so we had to ask for more each day.
We paid an extra €40 for one hour in the spa and pool, located next door. The pool was small but refreshing in the heat. The hot tub wasn't heated, although we weren't sure if that was intentional. It was nice to have the spa to ourselves, but it felt expensive for what was offered.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and the location was perfect for exploring Strasbourg.

Fabulous 2 night stay in cosy and trendy room. Good air conditioning and facilities. Selection of free hot drinks and fresh water downstairs. Plus a bar. Unique, stylish and conveniently situated near the station, quirky interior design and massive screen television in foyer and very polite and helpful staff. Relaxing and peaceful during my stay.
Very good value for money; immaculate rooms and public areas.
