The best time to go to Dodoni is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to early June) and early autumn (September to October).

These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the outdoor archaeological site without the intense heat of summer. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed and reflective experience. This timing is especially good for travelers who prefer to avoid large groups and enjoy a more serene visit to historical sites.

For those interested in cultural events, early autumn can be particularly appealing. The Dodoni Festival, which features ancient Greek dramas and other performances, typically takes place in July and August at the ancient theater. While this coincides with warmer weather and more visitors, it offers a unique opportunity to witness performances in a truly historic setting.
