"The view was unbelievable and the setting was so quiet. The cabin was exactly as listed, very clean, and the handicapped accessible features were great. The wifi was excellent and we had no problems. I was skeptical when I saw the location, but it was perfect. Every detail was covered, from the supplies in the kitchen, the bathrooms, laundry, etc. We had an amazing stay, thanks!"

"This hotel’s location is ultra-convenient, and the river running directly in front of it is beautiful. Our room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The pool is nice, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The bathroom is on the small side, which may present some difficulty for anyone assisting a small child with bathing. It wasn’t a problem for our family, though. Would stay here again."

"We loved our stay here. The check in process was very easy. Communication with owners was immediate. We had to reach out regarding some lights that had burned out and Tara and Pete immediately helped us. The home is beautiful with plenty of space to spread out. We had 2 adults, 2-18 year olds, a 15 year old, a 13 year old and a 4 year old. They all spent so much time with the pool table and hot tub. The roads were tricky at first, but very doable after a few times driving them. If you have a large truck be prepared to do a few 3 point turns to get in and out of driveway and the road leading to house. A car manages just fine. Be prepared for BEARS. EVERYDAY! Listen to the instructions and lock your car. We had one of our door handles messed up even with following the rules, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. We had an issue with neighbors not latching trash that I am sure very much contributed to this issue. Tara and Pete assisted with getting the local authority to come contact the neighboring home and have the trash picked up and correct this issue. They were very apologetic even when it was nothing of their doing. The only issue that I found with the home as a mom that cooks majority of our meals is that the kitchen could use a few things. More spatulas, mixing bowls and pot holders (we could not find any). If you want a peacefully stay with some fun bear activity that is close to almost everything you want to do in Gatlinburg or the GSMNP this is the place. "

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the property. It accommodated us quite well. The one consideration is that the roads in the neighborhood are quite winding and narrow and we found them a challenge to navigate at times. Also, people need to be aware that they should take the advice about bears quite seriously and keep car doors locked when they are not occupied."

"Enjoyed the hotel very much, property was clean and seemed safe. Room was clean, they cleaned it every day that we were there. Breakfast was the usual fare, everything was great. First time in Gatlinburg, a bit surprised that all the hotels charge a parking fee. Guess it’s the new norm. Still cheaper than a lot of other places that wanted $20+ (even the churches charge for parking in their lot!)"

"As someone who has been in hospitality for 25 years and currently works at the number one treehouse resort in America that is a five-star experience, I was absolutely thrilled with this hotel. The history, it was built so long ago, but nice. And the best part is the people. I felt like I was walking into myself. Meaning, these people know how to treat their guests. It was always pleasant. We had a room on the top floor with a Riverview. Even though off the balcony you're looking at another hotel it is still peaceful. The bed was comfy, but best of all, I searched through the entire hotel room looking for dirt or something that was not cleaned. I even pulled the filters and the AC and everything was absolutely spotless! We're talking the bottom of the toilet, behind the door in the bathroom in the corner, under the sink everywhere and everything was perfectly clean! Extremely close to the parkway. Across from log cabin pancake House. On the same road as roaring forton motor nature trail which is amazing. Spectacular indoor and outdoor pool and a restaurant on site!"

Had to carefully hold onto the little rod inside. Otherwise a great location near downtown and a good room for decent money. Stayed here last year as well. "

"This was our first time staying in a cabin like this. It was beautiful and big enough for my family. The host was a big help with all my questions. The only thing we was a little worried about was the road up the mountain. But everything else was great. Kitchen was well stocked. And check in was so easy. Definitely recommend to others. "

"The cabin was a great place for our family getaway. 8 adults were comfortable in the cabin, and there was plenty of space to sit and to spread out. It's also a great place to spot bears from the safety of the second floor porch! Make sure to keep your car doors locked."

"So peaceful and quiet. Mr. Robin and everyone we came in contact with were very friendly and accommodating. My grandsons LOVED playing in the creek, making s’mores at the firepit (thanks to Mr. Robin for hunting us down some roasting sticks) and chasing fireflies at night! This was our first trip to the property but will NoT be our last!!"

"We will definitely be back the next time we visit the Smoky Mountains. The property is clean, super inexpensive and the staff were really nice and accommodating. Understand that this is an older hotel, but it has a lot of vintage vacation charm. It’s like something from the 1980’s. The beds were comfortable and the water was hot. Our room had a microwave and mini fridge,which was very useful. We stopped at Aldi in Pigeon Forge and stocked up on bread,cheese and drinks to offset the high prices of everything in town. The breakfast was good and there’s a nice little park directly behind the hotel. Although there is no jacuzzi, it was hot enough that we enjoyed the pool. "
