"The property is beautiful. Our kids really loved the hotel and even said it was better then staying at Great Wolf Lodge. The biggest hit was the heated lazy river. Only real issue we had was there were a large number ants in our room centered specifically around the trash can in the living room area and kitchenette area. We did notify them of the the concern and they sent someone right up with a spray and did offer to move us but were unable to move us to a similar room (we had a balcony) that evening. We really enjoyed the balcony so we agreed to stay in it and we just took the trash can out (maybe hadn't been wiped down from previous visitors??) and also just killed the ants as we saw them. They made it right with us though with two offers since we agreed to stay in the room and I appreciated that. We will most definitely be back. The hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. I would also recommend tightening up fixtures - there were a few things loose in our room as well likely the results of just repeatative use since they have opened which I think has been a few years now."

"Location is beautiful and great spot for beautiful views of the Smokey mountains. Beds were comfortable. Space was comfortable. Hotel is aged and in terms of cleanliness was average. It is in the wilderness and bugs etc are to be expected on balcony. Hotel did warn of little bugs and to let them know. Pool is wonderful for kids. Bears in parking lots which was exciting to see but take their warnings about protecting your vehicle and be aware of surroundings. This was a highlight of our trip! I recommend this location."
