"What an incredible experience it was to stay here!!! Definitely high-end accommodations for a treehouse. Michael was a pleasure to work with, was very accommodating when our flight was delayed and we got there late. We loved being in the trees and so close to so much wild life. I definitely would recommend for someone who loves nature and the outdoors. We all had an overwhelming feeling of sadness the day we had to leave."

Lots of foliage between the home and the beach so I got some good bird photos from the yard, even a couple hummingbirds. Jose was our contact person and met us at the home on arrival, he was easy to contact with using Whatsapp and even helped us book a night tour in Drake Bay (highly recommended). "Beautiful house steps away from pristine and unoccupied beaches, jungle path that goes on for miles teaming with monkeys and birds. This is remote. No true restaurants nearby, but the tent camp serves a delicious evening meal with a full bar and is about a 10 minute walk. Town is a 60-90 minute hike and has several restaurants and a very small grocery. The owners of this house are delightful, helpful, and provided excellent orientation to living openly in the jungle. "We had a little taste of Paradise while living at Villa Cascada. If you love nature, it is the place to stay. We woke up almost every morning to the sounds of the howler monkeys, we even saw them in a nearby tree. You are surrounded by the jungle and all its sounds and aromas. We saw lots of toucans, butterflies, birds, bats, coatis. The views are amazing. The road to the villa was scary the first time, but David waited for us on the main road and led us to the villa. "There is no air-conditioning which was covered in the rental guide book and it felt like renting from a computer. There was zero communication with property management. Which is why we couldn't watch tv during our stay. Other than that it was amazing. The road others call treacherous we found invigorating. The view, the pool the outdoor shower and the wildlife we saw was well worth the trip. We would consider renting here again if we could get a line of communication with property management."

"We had a wonderful time in Carate, and this house was the ideal home base for all of our activities. We saw scarlet macaws and toucans regularly and were fortunate enough to see a tapir pointed out by the very helpful property manager and tour guide, Yeri. The house has simple but impressive amenities for how remote the area is. The drive to get there is an adventure in itself but you could not be closer to the park once you arrive! "This house had such amazing wildlife viewing we hardly ever left. that combined with the lovely pool, scenic walks and open air showers. We saw squirrel monkeys, toucans, macaws, capuchins all from our balcony and walks around the house we found kinkajou and tyra along with a host of other species. Thanks for having us- 100 percent recommend!"

"Almost Glamping in a beautiful jungle house surrounded by critters and the sea. Perfect remote relaxation with all the ‘creature’ comforts. Recommend to stock up on food and some supplies before arrival n town; a few nearby small resort restaurants to eat at; one next door for lunch. Highly recommend this property to the adventurers and the recluse!!"

"Beautiful new one bedroom house that is well decorated and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hosts were great and very responsive. The birds and butterflies in the garden were and added bonus. No negatives at all about either the house or the location. It was very convenient to groceries, gas and restaurants."

"This rental is run down and in a bad area. There is no hot water and wifi crashed shortly after we got there. There is an air conditioner for the upstairs bedroom but none for the downstairs, which gets hot. The surrounding are not enjoyable."

"Norlyn met us on the beach when our boat arrived and gave us a ride to his B&B. Comfortable and clean room. Common area has a shared refrigerator. On our second day we had an early departure for Corcovado and Norlyn served us an early breakfast and gave us a ride with our luggage. Great value!"
