Draper Vacations from $735

I asked to check in early and the desk check in staff explained that they were very busy but she would call me when the room was ready. She did and was very friendly. What I didn't like was - were I entered was to the back of the motel - by the dumpters. There was garbage on the ground and that area was unkempt. The air conditioner in the room did not cool the room. We went and bought a fan and it made it tolerable. I realize the outside temps were in the upper 90's to 100 but the room should have been cooler. I have had very positive stays at Days Inn when I come to Pierre - this stay was not as well as the others.

Struggled with getting into our room, then one of my booked rooms was given to someone else and a family member had to stay at a sister hotel. Was very chaotic.

Overall property was good--Hot breakfast was semi warm? what upsets me is fees. We were told by staff of the $50 authorization for the room damage deposit. We were not told about the $12.74 charge per night {$25.48)for cleaning/maintenance. Also nothing was told to us when we paid this through Expedia. Just seems like more fee games

Very quiet and private. A little far out but beautiful views

Decent place to stay, not fancy but comfortable and clean.
