Magical Riverside Yurt, hot tub & the BRPW, pet friendly near Floyd, Va

A Yurt with all the comfort of home, right beside a noisy trout stocked creek. Sit in the hot tub enjoying the views of the river and the passing wildlife, or stargazing at night, and the steep mountain across the creek providing added privacy. Sleep under the stars, looking through the dome. This yurt has a beautiful soaking tub inside, with endless hot water, a back up well, and two minisplits for heat and air. also a wood pellet stove for additional heat and ambience. a biker friendly driveway, and a twenty minute drive to Floyd, Virginia. We have two coffee makers, an air fryer, stove top, microwave, and full size refridge. The memory foam mattress will make you want stay in the bed. The yurt is 2.5 miles from a local meadery, 3 miles from Konowha Valley, nearby hiking, wineries, breweries, and a speakeasy. Many quaint mountain towns to explore and shop in as well. This water is great for white water kayaking at high levels, floating at normal levels and walking thru the middle with a spinning reel to catch the nights dinner. There is a nearby canoe/ kayak rental and shuttle that’s inexpensive and a beautiful scenic float. We offer a side by side rental for our guests as well, for an additional fee if they are interested in traveling all the dirt roads nearby and seeing what our area has to offer up close.

Property was well landscaped and very clean inside as well. No complaints whatsoever. Would come back again. Hot tub and the stream was very nice. Only thing I would recommend is not coming into the property on the 2.5 mile long dirt road.

This was our first yurt experience and we loved it! The interior is very cozy and comfortable and filled with all sorts of interesting decor. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, especially the creek that runs behind the yurt. Jodee, our host, is a gem. She and her dogs were willing to spend some time chatting with us as we sat by the outdoor fire pit. This is a really cool place. We plan to return.

Magical yurt!

We loved our stay! We were expecting to “rough it” a bit more than we did, it really was very comfortable and modern. Twinkle lights and candles and delightful decorations everywhere. We loved hearing the rain at night and being so close to the creek. The hot tub was awesome! Highly recommend

Magical Indeed

This trip was absolutely magical. Just off the beaten path, this yurt is next to a creek and the views from the hot tub are great day and night. We had some issues with the wifi, but there’s so much to do day and night we didn’t end up needing it. Definitely worth it to rent the ATV. Jodee was attentive, responsive and created an atmosphere to remember.

Weekend getaway

This was great place for a quick getaway from Charlottesville. The wood stove was great for the winter weather as was the hot tub! The yurt was so nicely curated and well fitted. The bed was also very comfortable. We fully enjoyed our time here and it was great to be able to bring our dog as well.

Although this was just a quick getaway, the owner and location provided a great experience. Everything about the rental was absolutely perfect. This was a truly relaxing stay that recharged us until we can return again.

Beautiful and warm stay

The best yurt we have stayed in by far. So clean and had great heating. Hot tub was clean and perfect in the cold weather. Two sweet dogs on the property was a huge plus along with the creek. No light pollution so the stars were insane. Will be staying here again!

Peaceful

We rented this place for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We never had a honeymoon and this experience was exactly what we wanted! It was beautiful, clean, quiet, and peaceful. Great location! It was only a 30 minute drive to downtown Floyd and a 5-10 minute drive to Hillsville. The host was very helpful, kind, and considerate! Easy checkin and checkout. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Fabulous Yurt!!

When we walked inside we were utterly amazed. It is absolutely beautiful!! So perfect for a special, quiet getaway. Everything you can possibly need is already there. Jodee is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back. Next time we plan to stay longer and do some exploring on the hiking trails. I posted pictures on Facebook and now all my friends want to know where we were and all the info on how to book a stay. Fabulous!!!

Enjoyable Yurt in the Mountains

We were really impressed with the area, the Yurt, and the location of the property. It was very scenic and quite private, while enjoying the bubbling creek from the attached deck and comfy chairs. Inside, it was nicely appointed and very welcoming for my wife and I on our 21st Anniversary get-away from Coastal Virginia. Not many Yurts will have such nice and upgraded amenities like the pellet stove, luxury tub and shower, the loft bedroom, and of course the outdoor hot tub. Perfect for the two of us. The views and surrounding areas were fantastic; close to hikes, and some neat places to enjoy eating out in Floyd, Hillsville or Galax. The host was very accommodating and was quick to respond to us if needed. My wife and I especially enjoyed how inclusive and welcoming the host were and is reflected by this wonderful Yurt VaCa.

Short Anniversary Trip

My partner booked for a 2 night stay for our first anniversary together and were pleasantly surprised with how quaint and comfortable the yurt was. It was very well stocked with kitchen supplies and little unnecessary nick-naks that showed the owner's attention to detail that makes the whole experience feel more intimate and comfortable for guests.There is always hot water and very spacious bath tub. It gets really cold at the top of the yurt when the sun sets and really hot when it comes back up but you can set AC units to compensate. There was a stink bug problem when I was there (mid October) but they're harmless and easy to catch. They like the warm spots so check windows and loft. All in all, it was a great little trip. Try going down to the creek to get stones for painting with the chalk markers provided and watch the stars come out from the hot tub.
