Let beauty and luxury surround you at this spacious custom home located at Electra Lake. The incredible scenery will amaze you as you take in gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains from almost every room in the house. Located on 9 acres in a private and secluded community, this home is only 7 miles to Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 miles to Downtown Durango, and is close to many other great activities such as hiking, fishing, and riding at Bears Ranch (formerly Rapp Corral). The home is fully stocked with everything you could need for a first class getaway, including a large kitchen and plenty of dining space, a gas grill, and WiFi. The master bedroom features a King bed plus in-room fireplace and TV, and a private bath with standing shower plus large soaking tub. Bedroom 2 features a Queen bed with private full bath. Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed and shared a Jack and Jill bath with Bedroom 4 that has a Queen bed plus a Twin Bunk bed. Outside enjoy the large wrap around balcony deck perfect for taking in the beautiful l landscape that is all around you. There is a full garage and plenty of parking. Electra Lake has just opened again this summer (June 17 through Labor Day) and is a great place for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing.

You must have 4 wheel drive with snow tires or chains in winter – no exceptions.

Epic Property with Lake & Mountain Views
The house & property were perfect for our visit to the Durango area. The views are spectacular any time of day from every room and the back deck was our coffee & cocktail spot for hours! The house felt like a home and has so much character. Super convenient location yet remote and very quiet. Would absolutely stay here again! Area hints: James Ranch burgers YUM, easy hikes at Haviland Lake or horse back rides, county road 250 through the river valley & of course the drive to Ouray & Ridgway (check out the Dennis Weaver Memorial Park in Ridgway) Thank you for a great vacation!!!

Enjoyed Our Stay
The house and accomadations were great. The view is awesome. There is a lock on a bedroom door that isn't working. The bed pillows were really flat. The shower handle in the master bath is difficult to turn and operate. All in all, this was our favorite house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we weren't ready to leave. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house. We hope to be back.

The price is ok.
We stayed here for 4 nights, the check in process of having to use a manual key is not easy. Every time you leave you have to put it back in the lock box. If I’m paying this much for a place it needs to be updated technology wise to make it easier. Also we need more fans for during the day when it’s hotter. Other than that the place is great!

This home is beautiful, spacious and cozy! The view is amazing and our family had a great time! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. One thing I will say is that it snowed a LOT while we were there and I would definitely reiterate the fact that you WILL need snow chains AND 4 wheel drive.

This home was everything we wanted. Near enough to Durango, yet far enough away to have spectacular views and hear the wind blow thru the pines. Every window in this lovely home gave you a view. Clean, comfortable, all the conveniences of home and wonderfully furnished.

An Absolutely Amazing Home!
My family stayed at this home during our annual summer off-roading trip to the Alpine Loop. This house stunning! It sits above a lake and is tucked into the woods. Even though the lake was not completely full (as the dam undergoes repairs), it was still amazing! The views from the deck were just perfect. The house is in a neighborhood that has dirt roads, but the driveway to the house is paved. Even though we did get one of our trucks with a trailer up the driveway, it really is not designed for a truck towing a trailer. This was not an issue as it was actually easier to find a place to park the trailers in Silverton, close to where we were spending our days. This was by far the nicest, most beautiful house we have ever stayed at. Simply amazing!

Favorite place on earth
We stayed here for our honeymoon. I should have made it the last stop instead of the first. There’s no topping it. We are in love with this house and Durango. The view is breathtaking, and the home is warm and cozy. I would not change a single thing about this place. The appliances are dated but I think they add character. Don’t change them. Allowing us to stay here and make memories was a gift to us and we are forever grateful. We will absolutely come back as long as the property is available. Maybe for our anniversary? Thank you. The property managers Kevin and Gwen are amazing people. They were responsive, kind and showed us real Colorado hospitality. Kevin, Gwen, thank you.

Just gorgeous!
Beautiful and peaceful remote mountain home. Easy 30 min drive into historic Durando. The home was well appointed with spectacular views; even though the lake was very low. So don’t be deterred by that. Loved the personal note and family photos in the home. We actually cancelled a few things just to relax in the home. We didn’t want to leave! If you stay here, make sure you take the drive to Ouray. Stunning drive up the million dollar highway.

Absolutely Stunning Location
Our family travels out west every summer and we pick new locations to explore and stay in VRBOs. This was easily one of the best places we have stayed! Just 20 miles north of Durango, we were close enough to grocery stores etc., but far enough to be a world away. Property was gorgeous, just like advertised. No complaints at all. Clean and roomy with everything we needed for a great stay. The house was great, but the deck was the focal point. Incredible views and cool, quiet breeze coming up off the lake. We wanted to stay longer. Close to some great hikes too! We had a fantastic time.

Beautiful Accommodations
The home was spacious, very well kept and secluded....exactly what we were looking for during this time. We spent the week hiking, rock climbing and rafting. There are excellent trails and climbing locations within 15 minutes of the home. Rafting at Mild to Wild was excellent and only 25 minutes away. The property managers were excellent and responsive.
