“Wombats. That's the review. I'm not sure how to make this easier for everyone but there are wonderful wombats around the property. They come right up to the accommodation. They LOVE eating the chestnuts that fall off the surrounding trees in autumn/winter. Best times are early evening after dark until about 9pm and then sporadically until about 4am. “Lyrebird cottages was set in a lovely tranquil location, Silver Wattle cottage was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provisions (eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, butter, jam, milk, juice) were great and the owners provided excellent information prior to/during our stay. We were fortunate enough to see the Autumn leaves, pick chestnuts from the property and see a few lyrebirds as well. I would definitely recommend Lyrebird cottages for a weekend away!”

“Considerate stay, we were welcomed by clean and furnished stay with everything u need - clean sheets, clean toilet, the cottages provided extra pillows for my pregnant wife which I’m really pleased. My young children had so much fun with cockatoo and kangeroo spotting. We could hang out around the cottage with everything in one spot, cooking, juices, condiments provided when we forget ours. Really pleased with the stay”

“House was very cold. Need woolen blankets on the bed. Cotton waffle blanket is not warm enough. Window in the main bathroom needs to be fully frosted glass, instead of just half. The top half of the bathroom window is not frosted. One can be seen from the road that runs along the house. Had to squat in the shower, not to be seen. Everything else OK.”

“Was amazing. Stayed in cabin 2. We had beautiful views of the vineyard. This place had everything and more. Lyn and John have created a perfect place to relax. The place is filled with personal items. Information of the area. They have thought of everything. Only 5 minutes into the centre of Healsville. A lovely walk along the creek on the property. Option to feed the Alpacas that live in the property. 100% recommend and we will certainly be back. ”
