I find a vast difference in customer service when traveling to different countries and this hotel has exceptional customer service. The staff is always friendly and quick to meet whatever need that you have insofar as they are able to accommodate. The breakfast is delicious and service there is also amazing. I will be looking for Virgin properties to stay wherever we travel going forward.

I had a great stay at Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh. Shout out to James, who was the Concierge when I first arrived. He was welcoming and set the stage nicely for the rest of my stay. Would suggest staying here if you are looking for a great hotel in the perfect Edinburgh location.

Staff really makes this property. Clean and the perfect location for everything. Food is average at best and extremely costly. Breakfast options are poor and it is difficult to get a coffee at any time. The biggest down side is the noise. Dont expect to get much sleep staying here. Most nights it goes until 0330 and we had a street shut down that went until 0500.

Excellent, fun, very clean and thoughtfully designed hotel with modern touches, excellent lighting throughout the room, and a clean walk-in shower with a full door to prevent leakage. I booked a room with a terrace, and the view of Edinburgh that did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff could not have been nicer. Very welcoming, and checked in if we needed anything. The caliber of employees that I encountered very definitely top notch. I will definitely look into staying at Virgin again.

All the staff are lovely and try their best. It is clear they did not get enough training to be a 5 star service. And yes, there is a club underneath the hotel with pumping music playing till like 3 am, that’s why so many reviews mention noise… if you are a light sleeper you won’t sleep until 3. The design of the hotel is beautiful!

Right in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town. This resort was super comfortable and easily walkable to all sites. Quirky hotel with great staff and would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

The location in Old Town was superb! The Grand Chamber King felt somewhat small and had an unusual layout, and not nearly enough space for our luggage and clothing. However, the bed and room were incredibly comfortable and luxurious. The food at the Commons Club was excellent. Service throughout the hotel was also good, although the concierge/bellmen were often missing from their post. Overall, a fabulous stay in a magical city!

The location and style of the hotel is fab, loved all the fixtures and fittings of the room and the kids loved the bunk beds! The only negative is that the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, so soft!!! And the pillows were really small and soft too… everything else was great, the staff were lovely

The location was perfect, right in the centre and walking distance to the Castle and the Tram. The hotel was very nice, although we did turn up in jogging bottoms and a hoodie (after our flight) and felt very under dressed. The rooms were very well presented, clean ad we loved the Virgin touch to everything.

The staff is exceptional and happy to be there. The location could not be better - walking distance to all main attractions while being just off the main traffic area
