“What an excellent Easter stay for my Siblings and kids. 17 total and plenty of space. Beautifully decorated and lots to do on the property. Gorgeous views (when it wasn't raining), kind of forget you're actually in Illinois. Ranch Joe was wonderful giving us the "lay of the land"!! Outstanding Lodge for a big group of folks. Would definitely stay here again.Owner Mark was a breeze to work with.”

“This property offers the luxury of a resort with the down-home experience of a ranch. Peaceful, gorgeous views - especially at sunset from the "Quiet Rock" deck. Or the sunrise from the swing near the Main Lodge. Mark is a gracious host who shared his love of the property by introducing us to Waffles, the donkey, Flowers, the cow, & numerous other animals. “The staff was very polite and helpful, this was the best part of the hotel. The photos showed a hot tub, but that was filled with concrete, false advertisement. Room had a musty smell, floors were sticky. We asked for a rollout bed and they supplied that, it had previously old sheets and garments on it. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. Again, the staff was the best part of this hotel.”

“Love the place, especially the bar that was connected to it great atmosphere wonderful people nice breakfast very clean. Highly recommend going back to Galena again and staying at the Irish Cottage Inn.”
