Great Cabin for a Weekend
This cabin was perfectly located close to a park and not far from downtown (too far to walk must drive but ample parking was avail). The kitchen had lack of pans and such. Most cabinets were bare. They did provide a package of pancake mix and some coffee which was nice. The cabin could use some upkeep. The 'game room' had a cheap foosball table that was falling apart and there was nothing else in the room. All the games were missing pieces so they couldn't be played. So we played uno on the rainy day. No cable available on tvs. I guess you have to put your own apps on them. There was no wood offered for the beautiful fireplace. So bring your own. Propane was empty in firepit and bbq but was brought the next day after I called. The manager was very responsive and friendly. The deck was great as we spent most of our time out there. The rushing river was so relaxing. Unfortunately fishing was a bust. Every time we went outside the neighbor's dog was in the yard. Friendly dog but our dogs were not happy about it. This prop needs a grassy area that is fenced in so the random neighborhood dogs don't come into the yard. If you aren't careful the dog will come into the house when you open the door or gate. The beds are so comfy. We only used 2 rooms. The negative was the neighbor's dog barked every night(4) from 1am to 5am.
The area is great. We had a wonderful time. DT Blue Ridge, Engelheim Vineyard & Reece's Cider Co were great stops. The Roof & Cantaberry had great food. Enjoy!
