Our family had a great time at the Waterfall Lodge! It was nicely furnished and had plenty of space for us to all spread out. Saw some bears, which was really cool.
A few points to support my rating.
1)The 2-mile-long private road to the cabin is in very bad shape. Potholes, ruts, and spans of bare dirt where the gravel was missing, which was slippery in the rain. Should have been listed as a 4-wheel drive property. It took us 12 minutes to drive the 2 miles as we could barely drive 10 mph and had to avoid the potholes so when we drove back in for dinner, we were reluctant to go back out and do anything. (For reference, we drove a Honda Odessey and our adult kids drove small cars.)
2)The first-floor master suite was great with a really nice bathroom. When we went to hang up our clothes, we found that the master closet had a padlock on it. (Several other closets also were locked.) Two of us were left to share a single dresser and fold our clothes and there was no table for us to set up a suitcase. We also thought the master bed was just awful, as the mattress is uncomfortably hard and end of life with big divots on either side. Took lots of Tylenol. Should be upgraded asap!
3) I'm sure that the owners don't realize this but there were only 8 forks. Plenty of knives and spoons and cooking utensils though. We had to run the dishwasher every day. (One time the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor and we mopped the water up with towels for about an hour.)
