"The property is very quaint. We were impressed with the historical stories that our host , Alain, told us. His English is good and he was very warm and receptive to our needs. We got upgraded to a charming clean room and treated to a lovely breakfast that was beautifully laid out. You can tell Alain has pride of ownership and loves hosting. We definitely would recommend this place to our family and friends. Many thanks to Alain!"

"We stayed at L'Oree de Giverney for 2 nights which should have been 3 but unfortunately we had car problems so were late arriving. Everything was just perfect! Our room was immaculately clean with a full kitchen, table and chairs, lovely large shower room and a private terrace. Guests also had use of a wonderful garden leading down to the river, and even bicycles to use. The bed was so comfortable and the area was so peaceful that we slept like logs. Located in a small village, a good navigation app is helpful in locating the BNB if you’re not familiar with the area. We were on route to Paris for our flight back home - we stayed here as a very pleasant alternative to hotel living. We would return should the occasion allow"

"This b&b is in a good location close to Chartres, with an attractive building and garden, and plenty of secure parking. However, access to the rooms, set in an upper floor inserted into an old barn, is by steep and narrow stairs. The rooms have thin walls and the cheapest possible fittings, especially in the bathroom which did not even have a shower fitted to the wall but just an attachment to the bath taps. It has a comfortable shared sitting room. The breakfast too was poor, providing the bare...
