We were in town for a track meet. The hotel is cute and close to liberty university. We booked a business suite for more space. The rooms are large and have a washer and dryer in the room. Free breakfast is standard, well prepared and just what we needed to start our day. Nice hotel for a good price. The business suite has a 2 burner kitchen and full sized fridge and dishwasher as well. Worth the price.

Absolute gem of a property, full of history and charm. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Close to the local historic sites and walking distance to the amenities of Appomattox. And the owners were very helpful

Similar to other National Parks lodging, this one is antiquated. The room is badly in need of updating. No mini fridge and the only place to get food in the area is the lodge's own restaurant that is reasonably priced but below average. The room was damp and smelled bad. The only plusses to this hotel are the truly attentive, abundant and kind staff, and the beautiful location and grounds
