This place is so cute!!! Rooms are small and need some love but, who cares?!?! When you're in the bar schmoozing with the family that owns the place, you only need a place to pass out!!
We were very entertained by them and their wonderful stories of the many hunts they go on for local wildlife. And very happy to take you on a mini tour of the many treasures inside the...restaurant/bar/giftshop/museum!! If you're going through, one MUST make it a point to stay overnight. If i ever take that road trip again, i will be a repeat customer!!
It was so quiet and wonderful to hear the crickets and count the cars on Hwy 50! Sheets were very soft. Room and bathroom were clean. It's not the Hyatt, but if you like peace anc quiet and a great meal this is for you. You won't have to worry about your belongings getting stolen in the city! The restraurant is closed Tues and Wed, but there's the BEST hamburger place 14 miles away. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I had to walk around the back to find someone to check in, but after that, everything was fine. This is a wonderful area if you like the Nevada desert. Not everyone does
Love this place and the hospitality. Nothing fancy but amazing!

Disliked: Amenities
It is more like a campground. Restroom & showers we in a separate building (30 yards away). No running water in the room/cabin. No TV (monitor and DVD player available).
Staff was very gracious. They are closed on Tuesday, yet Expedia booked us ( to their surprise) for the night. They willingly accommodated us.
Great service and food. Room is cool for the area, heating needs upgrade, kicks on and off all night

I stayed during COVID-19 and got made fun of for wearing a mask. They also said that they would be serving a buffet later and if I ordered room service not to expect them to wear masks or gloves...
I understand it is your choice to wear a mask and/or gloves, but please do not make fun of my choice to wear one myself.
On another note I chose this hotel because it was dog friendly. When I got there and went inside to check in with my small (11lb) dog (it was 80 degrees outside) I was immediately and rudely told that no dogs were allowed. I responded and said I thought they were, which is why I chose them. I was again told no dogs are allowed and if I wanted to check in I would have to leave my dog in the hot car. I asked again if they were dog friendly and another employee said yes the rooms were but the front office wasn't... Ok, so somehow it is less sanitary for me to bring my small dog into the office than for them to wear masks and maintain social distancing...
The cabin was cozy, twin beds were comfy. Down side the tv only worked for dvd's and the bathroom was across the dark yard with no heat. Watch out for the tumbleweeds around the steps. The restuarant/bar was fun with good food abd large portions. This place is in the middle of nowhere, 50 miles east of Fallon. Great for star gazing.

It took a long time to get there. The rooms were OK. no hangers in the closet just one thing. The owner was very nice and talked to us. It was
advertised as in Fallon but misleading about the property. Would not
stay there again. This place is mostly for hunters and campers. You need to adjust your advertising. Very misleading
I got to join a fish fry that takes place every friday nite cooked by "Mom" and boy was it out of this world .... staff was very friendly and courteous and we thouroughly enjoyed ourselves ... ty
