The customer service was a disappointment. Only few staff members who were in the dining area and the receptionist were polite but the hotel manager and the owners of the hotel were extremely rude to the customers.

To the contrary, we act professionally and courteously with all of our visitors and felt that we did all that we could to assist you during your stay. We were disappointed that despite contracting the Covid virus during your trip, you chose not to mention it to staff members until several of our Housekeeping team became absent as a consequence of catching the virus. When we discussed this politely, we were pleased that you understood our concerns and acted with caution thereafter, for which we were most grateful. Regardless, we enjoyed looking after you and send you all good wishes.

Views from rear balcony were great,good seating area. Bedroom very disappointing,needs a good upgrade. Shower problem with leaking hose and all taps were difficult to turn on and off. Mould on bathroom ceiling. Towels not changed during our stay. Room was not cleaned or vacuumed all week. Tissues ran out after 3/4 days and not replaced. Wardrobe and hanger facilities were inadequate

Thank you for our lovely stay - we were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the time away. Just a little disappointed as the room did not appear to be typical of the pictures of the upgrade to the Manor - although it was perfectly nice.

Perfect location for us
Our room felt damp and it affected my wife's asthma. We asked for a change of room and the staff very quickly and efficiently facilitated this move. The second room had an upgraded shower room which meant the room was fine. We had a meal in the restaurant which was very good and overall our stay was a good experience. We chose the hotel for its location to a wedding we were attending and it was ideal.

Overall great location.
Great place. Location and views are amazing. Dogs are allowed everywhere as long as they are on a lead at all times which is a bonus. Rooms could do with a refurbishment.

Pleased with our choice of hotel, good hard working friendly staff, we ate in the restaurant at night, good food at fair prices and not overpriced at the bar, Great location for a peaceful stay.

Check in was relatively painfree though, when shown to my room and given door codes, I was actually not shown the Courtyard entrance which proved essential on my second night as I arrived back after the hotel closed and I could not access my room until I ph oned the hotel to ask where it was. Stumbling around in the dark trying to find it was not a good experience. Breakfast was also rather uninspiring.

This hotel is incredibly run down and is in desperate need of a massive overhaul. I doesn’t look like it’s seen a lick of paint since the 80s. Considering that this hotel is not cheap (£155 per night) and is 3 AA stars, we were expecting something allot better. Disappointing.

Look after you dogs please...
Really nice hotel. But... I am a dog lover and have my own. But for some reason the owners left their dogs locked in room next to reception over night. Between 11:45 1:55 in the morning both dogs barking continuously, thus no sleep until well past 02:30 in the morning. I popped down twice to try and see if anyone was contactable and called 24 hour number. Not sure i like the idea of dogs being locked in room, but more so in a hotel reception that is bound to disturb guests. Otherwise a delightful stay, and only for a very poor nights sleep do I pass this unfortunate judgement given room costs i book rooms based on then likely to be peaceful !!

Promised more than it delivered. Accommodation was in 70s extension with avocado bathroom and a shower that was either freezing or scalding. Staff was very friendly, but breakfast service was clueless. They really must do better if they want to position themselves as a manor hotel.

Quiet Place with great view
It‘s a beautiful old house, rather quiet, with a wonderful view from the big garden. You have to be aware that you‘re outside of town and have to drive up there in the evening. But it‘s very relaxing and calm.

A lovely hotel in a stunning setting, plenty of parking. A pleasant mixture of a hotel/pub feel with two beautiful dogs on the premises. Good bar, clean, great breakfast and friendly staff. One very minor quibble - when we arrived there was quite a major function on with loud music until midnight. It would have been nice to have been warned about this before our arrival.

Excellent but - -
This is a lovely old mansion house hotel in beautiful grounds amidst wonderful countryside. Everything about our stay was excellent with a couple of very minor exceptions. In this style and rating of hotel, we would have expected some shampoo rather than only shower gel, some biscuits on the courtesy tray, a couple of real glasses rather than just the flimsy “safety” offerings in the bathroom and a bed that didn’t sag in the middle (Room 22).To be fair, on querying the biscuits on night one, we were given a selection of delicious shortbreads - the service and personal attention was faultless throughout, as was the food both at breakfast and at dinner. Our only other comment would be that, although we had read that Penmorvah is a dog friendly hotel and were happy enough to accept that, we draw the line at yappy dogs in the dining room - the dog in question should have been asked to leave (along with its owner!) With just these small attentions to detail, Penmorvah Mansion would be hard to beat.

PMH is almost 3 miles from Falmouth Downs, but a bus stops right outside that gets you to the piers in about 25 minutes. A cab is about 11.50 Pounds. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is on a great piece of property with nice views, the breakfast was good. An elegant and comfortable stay.

Lovely, friendly staff (and dogs). Fine breakfast (although a little early for us post-wedding!) The room was tidy and spacious, although the shower wasn't very clean. Late check-in was no problem. The house is beautiful and was much better value than hotels in the area, which our friends were staying in.

Really nice friendly hotel that upgraded us to a cottage due to a big wedding going on the main hotel. They also ensured the dining room was private from the wedding reception which was great. The meal we had was ok I wouldn’t say the greatest but not bad at all for the price. Very reasonable. General service was excellent and the venue was very nice.

A memorable stay in a quality Cornish manor house.
A reservation of one night only, with regret. The location is rather difficult to find, especially at nighttime and the access road is just a country lane Delightful place, however, to stay and under other circumstances I would have liked to stay longer. The bedroom was very comfortable and decorated in the best of taste. Poor water pressure in the bathroom shower was rather frustrating. The bar and restaurant service staff were very kind and professional. Food standard however was only average although the Manor's quality image in my opinion would merit more "haute cuisine" than just plain English cooking.
