Exceptional property, very clean and well equipped. We stayed in the duplex apartment with terrace. One of the best we have stayed in. Great accessible location, very convenient for exploring Faro and beyond. Host, Nelson, was very welcoming and informative. Would definitely stay here again on our return to Faro.

Roots apartments is possibly the best place we've stayed in terms of having an entire apartment. We travel across europe frequently and this was a fabulously relaxing pkace with in just a few mins walk to some excellent eateries and bars. Get to Faro City before it becomes too gentrified. Wonderful place we cannot wait to go back.

I can hardly recommend more highly. The brand-new apartment was bright and spacious and the hosting provided by Nelson was excellent. The location is a very convenient to the centre and bus & train stations. It was a lucky find.

The apartment was fantastic—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It had AC in every room, a full kitchen, and a washing machine. Centrally located on a quiet street but still within walking distance of all the restaurants and lively spots. Easily the best place we stayed in Portugal. While the hotel offers parking, we stayed in the apartment behind it, and you need to reserve a spot in advance. We parked on the street and had no issues finding a spot, even late at night around 11 p.m. Just note that the streets are quite narrow, so drive with care. Nelson was excellent—great communication and very helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

My daughter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Roots Apartment in Faro, Portugal. Our host, Nelson, was very gracious and provided us with some great advice. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most major attractions. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. I would return if I ever visit Faro again.

This was a great find! The apartment was very spacious and felt new, and it included a backyard space which we did not know we would have (nice perk to being on the ground floor). The two-bedroom layout was great for us (two friends traveling together), and having two bathrooms was a bonus. One of the bedrooms had bunk beds, which would have been ideal for a family with children. Nelson was very attentive and helpful at check-in.

A lovely home away from home in Faro, Portugal

Thank you so much Nelson and Roots for your hospitality. Our stay in Faro Portugal was lovely. The apartment was HUGE and the terrace was divine for morning coffees. This was ideal for our family. The kitchen, dining areas and washer were much used. We highly recommend Roots and the apartment. Thank you for your kindness Nelson. I’d also highly recommend a boat tour on the Rio Formosa.

It’s a real pleasure to write this review. When you're going on vacation to a place you've never been before — with your wife, who trusted your judgment to choose the accommodation, and your young children — arriving at a place that exceeds your expectations is simply wonderful. The apartment was even better than we imagined: spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with high-quality furnishings, and everything felt brand new — as if we were the first guests. It gave us a great sense of joy and peace of mind. I want to sincerely thank Nelson, our host at Roots Apartments, for his warm hospitality and excellent service. Amazing apartment

Fantastic apartment in a great location. The bedrooms were lovely with good storage, lighting and charging points. Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean bathrooms with plenty of towels for the two of us. Hand soap and shower gel were provided. Lovely touch of a large bottle of water and fizz as well as a bowl of delicious Portuguese oranges. Loved the roof terrace which was a sun trap with two sun beds and a table and chairs. Be aware they can get hot in the sun. The only things missing were a parasol, only as it was so hot when we stayed, and towels for the beds. If we’d asked for them I think they would have been provided. Check in and out were great and as we arrived early they happily stored our luggage. Nelson was welcoming and helpful. Our water wasn’t very hot and he came and sorted it for us. Overall a great stay and we’ll definitely be back.
