THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE SEASIDE TOWN OF FILEY ON THE YORKSHIRE COAST AND IS A LUXURY COTTAGE CONVERTED FROM THE OLD HAY LOFT AND HAS VAULTED CEILINGS AND EXPOSED BEAMS AND PARTS OF THE FARM DATE MAKE MANY HUNDREDS OF YEARS.

LOCATED ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE LOVELY SEASIDE TOWN OF FILEY , IT HAS GLORIOUS SEA VIEWS OVER THE FIELDS TO THE SEA AND CLIFFS...ALTHOUGH SURROUNDED ON 3 SIDES BY FIELDS IT IS ONLY A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE SEA AND FILEY TOWN WITH ITS RESTAURANTS BARS AND SHOPS AS WELL AS BEING CLOSE TO FILEY'S SANDY BEACHES.

THE COTTAGE HAS 1 DOUBLE BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE AND 2 TWIN ROOMS , ONE LARGER THAN THE OTHER (THIRD TWIN IS A SMALL ROOM ), PLEASE SEE PLAN OF COTTAGES .TOGETHER WITH A HOUSE BATHROOM ALL WITH VAULTED CEILINGS AND EXPOSE BEAMS AND A DOWNSTAIRS CLOAKROOM.

THE DOWNSTAIRS IS OPEN PLAN AND HAS A LARGE KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA WITH PATIO DOORS OUT ONTO THE PATIO AND GRASSED AREA WHICH IS IDEAL FOR CHILDREN TO PLAY ON...THE COTTAGE HAS FREE WIFI LARGE FLAT SCREEN TV DOWNSTAIRS AND TV IN THE MAIN ENSUITE BEDROOM...
THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING OUTSIDE AND AREAS FOR BBQ'S AND AL FRESCO DINING.

Here for a week with my daughter (12) & it was lovely - Caroline (host) was very helpful… house was fab - beautiful & clean - plenty of space, great location, easy to use kitchen appliances… likely to book every year - first time we’ve been on holiday & it was great Places to visit: Fountains Abbey, Whitby Abbey & Whitby, Filey Beach, North Yorkshire Water Park, Mount Grace Priory, Scarborough Castle, Scarborough, Bridlington, (go crabbing)

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was great it all respects apart from the beds! The double bed and mattress was fine BUT all the other beds need to be replaced! The mattresses on the twin beds in the second bedroom were so soft and old that one of our group decided to sleep on the sofa bed downstairs. The 2 beds in the small bedroom can only really be described as ‘camp’ children’s beds and the mattresses were appalling, worn so much the springs were almost visible. A great shame as the rest of the property suited our needs perfectly but wouldn’t return due to the state of the beds.

Too many disappointments
The property is in a pretty setting with nice views to the coast. The accommodation is clean and tidy. However it is badly let down by many factors that make it way overpriced and disappointing, especially... - the mattresses for all beds apart from the double bed are very uncomfortable...they roll you into the middle and you can feel the springs, so it's impossible to have a good sleep. - the third bedroom is very small and far too small for the 2 super-narrow beds that are crammed into it - the showers don't work properly if there's anyone using any water anywhere else in the property (including flushing toilets) so showering needs to be carefully coordinated - the sofas are end of life - no towels; no soap; no washing up liquid; no condiments; almost no toilet paper; just 2 dishwasher tablets for the entire week - just feels mean. Cannot recommend, even if it was much cheaper.

Lovely cottage central for Yorkshire coast and moors
Beautiful cottage with lovely garden, we stayed in the Flamborough view cottage that opened up onto fields with sheep in and views of the sea in the distance. Cottage was a very nice size with plenty of space. Everything inside you needed. Quiet and very peaceful. Highly recommend.

Great location!
We had a lovely weekend here. Great location, lovely accommodation, peaceful and easy to walk to the coast and Filey in about 10-15 mins. The hosts were very helpful, helping us out very quickly with a query that we had.

Great location and a lovely cottage
This cottage was in a great location in Filey with some lovely walks close by. The cottage itself was basic but comfortable and very clean. I would stay here again but it would have to be at a lower price than what we paid for a week in August when everywhere seemed to have overinflated their prices.

Really lovely stay. Clean, tidy and a lovely welcome of wine and chocolate! Only pointer would be to have an instruction guide for the oven. We have a range and we’re not sure of the various symbols eg grill or oven. But brilliant. Would recommend especially for the views. Many thanks.

There's nuffin like a puffin
The view of Flamborough head and the closer cliffs was fantastic. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the sheep in the adjacent field. There was lots of room in the property and garden and it is very well kept and equipped. It was very close to Filey and near to Bempton cliffs (gannets and puffins were our favourites), Sewerby Hall (we liked the Humboldt penguins and Guinea pigs), Flamborough and Bridlington.

Nice little cottage in a lovely spot
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage and in Filey. The kids enjoyed the beach and visiting Alpamare water park in Filey. The apartment was reasonably well equipped although there were a few things that were not so good - the single beds were all quite uncomfortable, and the sofas in the lounge also not that comfy for sitting in of an evening. Also, there is no washing machine. But it was warm, cosy and clean and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Overall a nice size, 2 bedrooms were great, 3rd very small with 2 single beds squeezed in. Wonderful rural setting and very quiet. Would have been nice to have towels supplied. Great to have parking spaces. Very impressed. Convenient to have 2.5 bathrooms.

Good location with wonderful views. Cottage was clean but a little tired looking in need of some TLC
Disappointed that although advertised as suitable for 6 adults the 3rd bedroom is extremely small and only suitable for children (Beano & Dandy posters suggest this too) Wouldn't describe it as luxury; sofas and chair are cheap and uncomfortable, only 1 roll of toilet paper in each loo ( for 6 adults staying 9 nights), 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 waste bags and no soap or hand wash in toilets - all in all definitely not luxurious. Broken kitchen chair and freezer part replaced very promptly but 2 light bulbs not replaced although promised. Showers provided only intermittent hot water and shower head in main bathroom shot off on 2 occasions whilst showering, narrowly missing the person showering. The shower screen was ineffective leaving water to be mopped up off the floor every time the shower was used. All the above were small niggles which we managed but didn't expect in a 'luxury' cottage.

Very nice cottage with a great view of the bay down to Flamborough Head. Downstairs living room and kitchen/dining area well equipped and spacious as are the 2 main bedrooms, the smaller bedroom was fine for one adult which was what we needed. A couple of minutes drive into Filey and within reasonable walking distance, 20-30 minutes depending on your walking speed and maybe another 10 minutes if you take the scenic route to the beach. Filey is a small fairly quiet seaside town with a good safe beach (ideal for our granddaughter) and a few cafes, restaurants and pubs (which unfortunately we didn't have a chance to explore). Scarborough isn't far away by road or train if you want somewhere busier and livelier, although I think we preferred Filey! There are also some nice villages within a mile or two of the cottage. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a great location
Thank you to the owners for a beautiful appointed cottage. Spotlessly clean with everything needed for a great stay plus extras (especially the welcome gifts, I won`t spoil the surprise for other guests, ha!). The view across to Flanborough cliffs is spectacular. The sheep in the next field makes for a lovely atmosphere. As the description states, the cottage is ideally located for a nice walk to the town or take the track to the beach. We will definitely rebook for another break.

Lovely quiet cottage, with plenty of room
Ideally situated, surrounded by lovely countryside and very close to Filey. We walked into Filey several times for meals, to the shops and to the beach etc. The cottage was perfect for us and the owners were very accommodating as we have 2 children, a toddler and a baby. The only one thing I would say is that it didn't have a washing machine and with 2 messy kids, we needed one. Thankfully we had family living near by so we popped in and used their washing machine a couple of times so no big deal 😉 We will definitely be staying at this cottage again.
