Our visit was kind of a mixed bag. Mandalay Bay is well-maintained - everything looks great throughout the property, and the room was really nice and clean. The only facility issues were that the shower handle was kind of pulled out from the wall showing an exposed pipe and the sinks made quiet gurgling noises occasionally (neither of which was a big deal). The shortfall really came from the staff. We reserved a King bed for a mini-staycation away from the kids, but they ran out and gave us a QQ room with zero apology. It was my husband's bday so we asked if there was anything we could do. We agreed to take an accessible King, only to arrive at the room and find we were still in a QQ. Tried to call the front desk with no answer. At that point it wasn't worth it to walk back downstairs with our bags so we just stayed where we were. Starting with the front desk agent who checked us in, not a single employee was friendly to us until the VERY end of our stay when we met an extremely nice server at the pool. I work in hospitality so I'm very easy to please. The service industry is tough, and I try to always give people the benefit of the doubt and be understanding of the fact that it might just be an off day for them. It just seems like Mandalay Bay hasn't been focused on service, which is really disappointing when you're using hard-earned cash for a special occasion.

We stayed at the hotel for my Husbands 55th birthday and our Nephew's 40th birthday We got upgraded to a suite at a little extra charge and it was well worth it. Had a fabulous time in Vegas 😊👍

We used to like this hotel and it was always on our first choice on the list but not anymore after our stay this time. We arrived at the hotel and because we had a full size van, we were not able to go through self parking area so we had to do a valet parking. We were told that there will be a one time charge for $150 plus $40 per day, then $40 per day after that. We stayed 2 nights so total $230 for parking. Then, it's shown as tip for the $150 on the receipt. We understand that we needed to tips but $150 for 2 nights parking? That's crazy. Additionally, why does it show as tip instead of one-time charge? We feel ripped off and really disappointed. What kind of customer service is that?
