Wonderful!
Rustic elegance. Log cabin beautifully furnished, tastefully appointed, cozy & homey. Private & very quiet. Peace in the pines--exactly what we were looking for. AND we could take our dogs. Large fenced yard, good for kids, too. Others with dogs--please control them. Greg has received complaints from neighbors about incessant barking & if that continues, may have to change his pet policy. BTW, he provides a dog bed, towels & dog toys! As well as numerous special touches, like his coffee bar for people. Up-to-date appliances, TV with Netflix. Amazon & a ton of channels. Big enough for 4 or 5 at least. Was perfect for a 74 yr old woman re-living 5 yrs of living in a log cabin in the woods of VT and her friend.

Cute place!
Cute cabin - was quite warm without AC during the heatwave but we would love to return in cooler weather! Backyard landscaping was a little bit challenging to navigate.

Feels Like Home
My family and I were in town to attend Northern Arizona University’s graduation. There were six of us plus a dog and we enjoyed staying here in this cozy home. Everything was clean and very cozy. I will definitely stay here again!

Cozy Wood Cabin
What a cute, cozy cabin! We had a great stay with our kids and dog. The fenced in backyard was great for our dog and we enjoyed grilling and hanging on the patio at night. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals and we loved that the host provided fresh muffins, coffee, and popcorn. We enjoyed our stay so much we asked to book another night, but unfortunately the cabin was already booked. We will be back to enjoy this cozy cabin again.

We will be returning to Basecamp!
Basecamp totally exceeded our expectations! It felt just like home and there is plenty of room to keep the family entertained. We stayed in July, it was a little toasty during the day, but it cooled down at night. We felt like we were in the middle of the forest with the way Basecamp was set up. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw horseshoe pits, and the BBQ is like brand new! Communication with the owner was great and he responded in a timely manner. I highly recommend staying at Basecamp. We will be coming back!

Cozy cabin..
We enjoyed our stay but thought it could use a little attention on cleanliness of the cabin and the decks could use a little attention as well as the yard...a bit disappointing but overall a very nice cabin!

Basecamp Properties strives to provide an exceptional experience. Flagstaff is currently in a bit of a drought with watering restrictions. So until the monsoon season kicks in the yard will look a lot less green. The cabin has been booked so consecutively that it has been difficult to schedule a deck re-stain. I do have a summer guest so those decks are getting re-stained at the end of this month. Not sure what you are referring to in regard to cleanliness. The cabin consistently gets high marks for cleanliness. Maybe you could contact me and expound on what you saw?

Perfect spot
Perfect cozy cabin! Enjoyed the wood burning stove while we visited during thanksgiving. Fenced backyard was great for our two dogs plus the trail to the national forest is about a half block away. Quiet neighborhood too. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of blankets for the chilly evenings. Ample towels. Glad I brought large casserole baking dishes from home to make Thanksgiving dinner side dishes and there were fairly small baking dishes (pie and bread loaf sized) overall it was a wonderful stay!!!

BAD BUSINESS
Three weeks prior to our scheduled visit, there were numerous wild fires in the area. At that time we did not feel comfortable going into the area so we asked if we can get a refund do to the circumstances out of our control. We were told no. A week later as fires were still burning we asked for 1/2 our money back and was told no. We fully understood when we booked the trip it was nonrefundable but when circumstances with the fire changed day by day keeping people on edge as to evacuate or not, we just opted out.

Peaceful Retreat
This cabin fit our family perfectly! While in a neighborhood, it was quiet and calm, felt like no one was around us. The clearing down the street that leads to several pathways on which to hike was so convenient-again, it was like we were in the woods. Our Golden Retriever was in all her glory there:) Our family needed a getaway after a few months full of challenges for us. Thank you Greg for creating a warm, homey space!!!

Amazing Cabin Getaway. 5 Star all the way!
This place is awesome in every way. The location is great, the neighborhood is quiet. The cabin is absolutely charming and homey. But best of all, it is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN, which is our number one requirement whenever we book a getaway place. Greg S., our host is very hospitable and friendly and even gave us weather advisory while we were on our way because it snowed before we came. I highly recommend this cabin and will love to come back for a longer stay.

Great First Experience!
This trip was our family's first experience renting a property. The process was smooth and easy to understand. The property was exactly what we expected, clean, maintained, great location, and comfortable! My kids loved the property, and it was even better that it snowed when we were there! This is something my family plan on continuing with future stays .

Met all of our needs!
We adored the cabin! My husband and I and 3 of our sons (ages 12, 15 and 18) stayed for 3 days/2 nights. The cabin is super cozy and really allowed us to unplug and reconnect as a family. I wish I'd videotaped the boys laughing and joking together in the kitchen and all throughout the cabin during our stay... it was pure joy to this mama's heart. The location was perfect for our hikes and activities in both Oak Creek and in Flagstaff. The upstairs shower was a welcome bit of bliss at the end of each fun-filled (yet exhausting!) day. The boys enjoyed the muffins and coffee station while I appreciated the large kitchen table and the excellent communication from the host/owner. His recommendations were helpful and response time to questions was timely. The only suggestions we could offer would be additional or improved lighting, particularly in the kitchen and perhaps a little upkeep in the yard (but we didn't bring a pet so this was not a problem for us).

We were suppose to come last year but I broke my leg. Greg was so nice and moved out reservation out to this year. The cabin was so warm and inviting. Our Stay at Basecamp
Our family enjoyed their stay at the Basecamp. The cabin was clean and well equipped with housewares, towels and bed linens and blankets. The eclectic decor added to the cabin's charm although some of the lighting could have been a bit brighter. The coffee/breakfast bar was a nice touch. The homemade muffins were yummy. Even though we did not use it much the back deck was equipped with a grill and patio furniture. The backyard is a nice size but could use a little TLC. All in all a great stay.

Great location in cool pines
We had a great time at Basecamp Cabin. Property owner communicated all that was needed, and even gave pointers how to keep the cabin cool during the day. Very clean wonderful coffee bar with fresh blueberry muffins and other snacks. Great fenced backyard for our dogs to explore. We enjoyed the cooler temps and relief from the heat of Phoenix!

Nice log cabin in close proximity to downtown Flagstaff. It was hot at the beginning of our stay and we missed having air conditioning but as the week went on it became very pleasant. Great communication from the owner made it very easy to check in/out.

Charming log cabin.
Stayed here in July for Independence Day long weekend. The log cabin is well equipped with all that is needed. The coffee bar is a nice feature with baked goods and snacks for guests. The grill was available for use and equipped with propane. There is hiking and a beautiful nature trail nearby.

This is a wonderful and cozy cabin. Plenty of room for our family of six. It was also great to find a place where we could take our 13.5yo dog. Plenty of yard for the kids and dog to play, close enough to Flagstaff for stores if needed. There is such a "welcome home" feeling you get when you enter this place and it lingers throughout your stay. The owner is great and easy to communicate with. We loved the fresh muffins and coffee stand. Overall this is a great place to just get away and relax.

Charming cabin!
We had a great weekend getaway at the cabin. The entire process was very easy, the neighborhood was located conveniently off the highway north of Phoenix, very charming atmosphere, the wood stoves in the cabin were a nice surprise as was the outdoor fire pit.

Wonderful log home in a unique neighbourhood! It was quite the challenge to find it in the dark but once we got there it was very welcoming! It was a nice touch to get the muffins and coffee provided for our morning. We did not take advantage of the s’mores kit provided, but we did enjoy a fire in the living room stove. The cabin was wonderful inside and out. Just a few miles from downtown Flagstaff with plenty of privacy. The inside was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The outside was beautiful, with a snow covered backyard. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to friends visiting the Flagstaff area.

This property has it all! Cozy quaint and well-appointed, with a touch of rustic mountain charm.... great place for entertaining from the fire pit to the back porch, there were many oportunities diversified relaxation.... Cozy cabin in the woods
Our family enjoyed an autumn stay at this cozy cabin near Flagstaff. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and our host even left tasty treats at the coffee station. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely and updated. My kids enjoyed playing in the fenced backyard. I was able to walk with our dog in the quiet neighborhood. We had an enjoyable, relaxing stay close to hiking and the fun activities in Flagstaff. We will definitely stay again.

Beautiful cabin!
We recently stayed one night in this cabin but will definitely be back for a much longer stay! It had the rustic charm of a cabin but with all the amenities of a nice hotel. Super comfy beds, thick towels and everything needed in the kitchen. Thank you for sharing this gem with us!
