Favorite in Marfa

The house is well laid-out with plenty of room for everyone to move around. It was lovely to relax in the yard at the end of a long day of hiking.

Great stay, plenty of room to rest visit and take in the quiet. Greatly location to visit Big Bend, Mc Donald Observatory, the lights etc, definitely stay again

Lovely and convenient

This is a fantastic place to stay. It has a huge kitchen and lots of space. The yard is wonderful and large. It's close to downtown. Everything is in excellent order. I could not be happier with my stay and look forward to visiting again soon.

Cute House

A perfect accommodation for visiting Marfa!

Our family has stayed many times at the Austinite Marfa. It is a wonderful location near the center of town and always clean and comfortable. Having the amenities of home while staying in vacation setting makes the holiday even more enjoyable. We recommend this home for anyone planning to experience the beautiful West Texas experience of Marfa.

The Austinite is fantastic

First, the decor is charming. Add comfortable beds, a lovely backyard, and a convenient location and this place made for a relaxing and fun weekend. I would return in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Marfa Cottage

We just did a weekend trip to Marfa with two couples and this was the perfect place to stay. It is walking distance from cute coffee shops, restaurants, and the main little downtown area, which was very convenient! It was so nice having a cozy cottage to come back to and relax after exploring Marfa and Big Bend. We had plenty of space and loved the outdoor living areas as well. Looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful cottage in Marfa!

We absolutely loved this house! Lots and lots of room and everything you need to make your stay perfect. Lauren was responsive and helpful, the house had lots of information about the town and was big - easily sleeps 10! We spent lots of time relaxing on the patio and enjoying the quiet with only the fountain making a sound. Easy to walk to almost all the Marfa businesses. Can't wait to stay here again!

Sizable house in quiet neighborhood

House is a bit dated (too many old doors), bedroom doors don’t lock/ glass windows on interior doors, small washer/dryer, but overall a nice place and great location. Enjoyed it.

Exactly as advertised

This place is just a 2-minute walk from the county courthouse. It's well-maintained, roomy, and in a quiet neighborhood. The neighbors are friendly, and Marfa is incredibly relaxing. Lauren stopped by briefly for a quick maintenance trip, and she shared her family's history with the property. You can tell it has been maintained with care.

Marfa bungalow style

This bungalo / craftsman style house is the cutest! Inside is an eclectic decor with a mix of mid century modern and West Texas flair. We enjoyed our time gathered in the living area while a few of us cooked and prepared home meals. The dining area is large enough for a group to have dinner or breakfast together and play a game of cards in evening. The kitchen provided a large cast iron skillet which we loved. We loved the outdoor water feature and seating area for morning coffee and conversation. The location is great a distance from the main part of town (2-3 block if walking). The neighborhood felt safe as we had runners in our group that left before dawn early in the morning. The owner was responsive when we had an issue.

Marfa May 2024

We enjoyed staying at this property, especially enjoyed the backyard. The check-in info said the property had a dishwasher and printer. It has neither. We made other arrangements for the item we needed to print. The lack of a dishwasher was no big deal for us but might have been if we had a bigger group.

Great house to stay in while in Marfa

We have been to Marfa several times and love staying in houses. With grandparents, daughter/spouse and grandson (12) it's nice to have our own space. This house had 2 baths, 3 bedrooms and sleeping for 10. Kitchen was well equiped for us to have breakfasts. Lots of outdoor sitting. Covered car parking. Quiet neighborhood. Easy to get to observatory and Ft. Davis. Temp in house was very comfortable. No complaints.

Great place for families (with limited mobility)

We traveled with my elderly mother and this home was a perfect fit. She can walk, but steps are difficult. The home had a walk in shower and only one step at the entrance door! Perfect! The home is large enough that nobody was crowded and the living spaces are roomy. The kitchen was fully equipped for all of our needs. In addition, the location is walking distance (for those who are NOT limited mobility!) to the courthouse and several restaurants. Very convenient location.
