Perfect Vacation!

Our beach vacation

Family had a blast, nice location on the water and short walk to sandy beach. We enjoyed the sounds of the gulf and the sounds of the record player and collection of unusual vinyls. The lift was useful.

we booked this property based on an elevator and hot tub, neither of which worked and wasnt told about it in advance. i walk with a care due to severe arthritis and managing those steps was very difficult.

Family vacation

Our stay was all that we hoped for. It is a beautiful house with a perfect location. There is always a pleasant breeze on the deck which was a much enjoyed relief from the Texas heat. We enjoyed every minute!

Perfect beach vacation

The home was perfect for our family. Our ages range from 5 to 86. The views were amazing. We saw dolphins swimming from our ocean view. We would definitely book this home again.

Beautiful Property

We do an annual trip to Galveston and this was our second time to stay at "On The Rocks." The property is amazing and the views are breathtaking. The property is clean and the beds are cozy. Paul is super responsive and so easy to work with. We are already looking forward to returning next year.

Wonderful Stay

We so enjoyed this beautiful beach home right on the water. We had 13 of us celebrating our Grandpa’s 80th birthday. This home was perfect for our family. It is excellently decorated and very comfortable. We spent time at the beach. The men fished in front of the beach house. Hope to visit again in the future.

Great Thanksgiving Week!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at On The Rocks for the Thanksgiving week. The view from the deck was amazing and we saw dolphins in the water almost every day! The lift is very helpful for heavy items and worked well. The rooms are all very comfortable as is the lounge and dining room. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. We had a great time!

Awesome experience

We had a wonderful time . Very nice beach house. Paul, our host was very prompt to answer our questions before the stay. While we were there, Deborah (property manager) was very helpful and came to make sure everything was ok. The crabbing experience was awesome. We definitely will stay there again.

Adventure on the Coast

We loved this property. The house was clean and well built. It really had everything we needed. We had a large group of 12 stay there. We rode out Tropical Storm Alberto and the house held up really well. We never lost power or water. We did very well catching Speckled Trout right in front of the house in the green light the owner has mounted on the house. We all agreed we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Getaway

This is a beautiful house with breathtaking views and all the amenities. The house is on the rocks, but there's plenty of sandy area in front of that when the tide is out, or the sandy beach is just a short walk away. (Even the 3 year old in our group walked over there without complaints.) It was nice and quiet, not crowded at at all. We loved the fishing, the beach, well stocked kitchen, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water, and gas grill. The wifi was steady for anyone who needed to work. We will definitely be back!

Great house and excellent location

This property was exactly as advertised. The house was gorgeous. The views from the 2 decks were amazing. You can sit outside and hear the waves crashing on the rocks and then walk just a couple blocks to swim and play on the beach. Our group included children age 4 to 17, young adults, parents and grandparents. No complaints from anyone.

The location rt on water was awesome. We spent a lot of time on the decks enjoying the view. The house was amazing. We ate alot of meals in and the kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed the record player and all the classic albums. Paul was great to work with. The beaches are much nicer than in Galveston. This is a house we plan on coming back to.

Great location and beautiful house!

We had 16 adults and children and all slept very comfortably. The house is beautiful and so cozy. Being right on the water was so relaxing. Very short walk to beach area which was not crowded at all but we stayed Tuesday - Friday. Manager very responsive. We did not use the cargo lift (elevator) b/c it was locked and didn't ask if we could so if you need it make sure to ask if it is available before going.

Escape from the City

Most of us loved our home away from home....but we did have an eight month pregnant woman on our hands...the life was not operatable and we were told that it would be...so that was a bit of a concern....but overall you can't beat the place nor your host

Amazing House!

We love the location! Away from the busy parts of the island. Home is beautiful inside and outside. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean and kitchen is amazing! Tons of space and plenty of pots/pans/utensils. Has everything you need! The views are gorgeous! We enjoyed the hot tub too! Huge plus! It’s the perfect getaway beach house. We even saw Dolphins one morning! Check in and out was seamless! We can’t wait to book another trip! Bring your beach towels and equipment, the beach is a short walk away (about 5 minutes) and not crowded! We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Birthday celebration

We celebrated our grandmas 80th birthday. It was a beautiful house- just as advertised. House location was perfect for us. It accommodated our large family perfectly. The house could’ve been cleaned better- baseboards and light fixtures have not been wiped down in a while. We did have to tape the outside door handles as the finish had come off and I cut my finger. There was no hot water in 2 of the downstairs showers. It would have been nice if there were additional extra blankets, as the weather was chilly. Overall, a great house and a great stay.

No hot water for 2 days

We checked in Sunday evening an did not get hot water til 6pm Tuesday. There maintenance people not very good. They finally just bought new hot water heater. The luggage elevator is totally broke. The stove is about to go out as the elements do not work right so just heads up. Host is nice but no hot water for more than half of stay was not happy about.

STUNNING!!!!

This property is amazing. The pictures online do not do it justice. My family and I along with a group of friends stayed here for 3 nights and our stay was fantastic. This place has everything. It is the best stocked VRBO placed I have ever stayed. The house is a great place for entertaining too. We have some friend staying at another home in the neighborhood, but this was the gathering place as the views are amazing. The house is only a short walk to the beach which wasn't crowded and best of all there are no cars permitted on the beach. I'd highly recommend this place. Sit on the upper patio and watch the dolphins junper in the surf. The owner was very very accommodating. He even bought us a bottle of winr to thank us for staying at this place. Paul let us check in early and gave us a late check out so we could enjoy the beach for a few hours longer w/o needing to rush to check out. He actually called me and suggested I check lout late so we could enjoy the beautiful weather. I can't recommend this place enough. There is more than enough space with 5 bedrooms and baths. And if you have kids, they will love the bunk bed room!!!!
