Hotel has been closed down

The disappointment couldn't be bigger. When we arrived to hotel at 2 am we found that is all closed down. There was no single light and no cars on the otherwise big car park. No response to ringing the door bell and answering machine in French when we tried to call. Our impression was that the whole business was closed for good. It is worth to mention that the booking was confirmed, on "you do not need to call us" basis by Expedia. The hotel managed however to charge us for the stay. Place to avoid!

Convenient hotel close to motorway network

Cons: Breakfast was a little basic
Location: Vimy war memorial
Having read mixed reviews, I happy to say that I was extremely happy with my stay. Within an hour and 10 minutes of Calais, it's a perfect location for an over nite stay either before or after the long journey down to the south of France. The Vimy war memorial is 12 minutes away which is more than worth a visit. The hotel itself (whilst looking like an 80s motel from outside) surpassed expectations. The staff were efficient and friendly and were welcoming at check in. Larger than standard rooms which are newly refurbished. The quality was very impressive and the bed was one of the comfiest beds I've stayed in. Overall, very pleased with the hotel, a fair price, perfect location (if you're just looking for a midway stop). As some of the reviews have said, there isn't much around the hotel, so if it's attractions or shops you're looking for, this may not be the place for you. For those that have left poor reviews, I'm not sure what more you could want for the money!

Shabby and rundown

Very basic: have stayed in less expensive places which were better quality. Room size was okay with decent-sized bathroom. A little difficult to find. They do accept pets, though.

Inter-Hotel Aquarium

This hotel would be modern if the year was 1975. It really has not moved with time apart from a tiny cubicle in the reception area which serves as an Internet/telephone booth. Furthermore, the hotel is desolate and isolated in its location, so make sure you have detailed directions on how to get there otherwise plenty of time will be wasted (check your Sat Nav is loaded with the most recent maps). The rooms have carpets and walls that are stained, and rather frustratingly, curtains that will not draw close. The blankets and bed sheets also seemed worn down be several years of usage. Breakfast is stupidly expensive. £7.00 for a limited choice of bread, cheese, juice, tea and coffee.

Verlaten hotel

Pros: niks
Cons: schoonmaak , en personeel die meerdere talen spreekt dan alleen Frans , is wel makkelijk in een hotel

2 hotelkamers geboekt , 2 hotelkamers toegewezen gekregen die we niet geboekt hadden. zelfs een kamer was totaal niet schoongemaakt. het is een verouderd hotel waar de schoonmaak te wensen overlaat. Na een klacht, wel een extra kamer gekregen. Als je geen frans spreekt, is het lastig om duidelijk te maken wat je bedoelt. Bij vertek bleken wij de enigste gasten te zijn.

Location: Déplacement à titre professionnel ... donc pour les visites ... une prochaine fois ?
