Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. "This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there. I cannot...

"Lovely property and friendly hosts. Listing on Hotels.com doesn't state number of dogs allowed, which is actually only one, but host was very understanding and accommodated us and our pets. Well located for exploring the North Devon coastal region, Bideford is lovely and we also had a great day at Westward Ho! The road to the property is very dangerous to get in/out of, and parking difficult (I not a nasty note from a neighbour because I parked in front of their garden path. Wouldn't stay here again because of road and parking - but if you're not driving, it's a lovely property. Public path right along property - hope you're not bashful when in the shower!"

"We were given a one bedroom apartment. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed to self cater. Even filter coffee, milk sachets and a cafetiere, which made my day. Staff were all lovely. Pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi were good. Gardens were well maintained. I also had an excellent massage on site. Lizzie’s larder down the road did a good breakfast."

"This is annokd hotel maintained beautifully. The staff was very helpful. Taking the time to find me a room near the elevator which i really appreciated. I woukd not however recommend eating at thur restaurant, called the bank . I waited iver an hour, with noone advising me of the wait- and then the pork belly was dry and stringy- some parts inedible. To their credit tho they did not charge me for the meal. Its in the old part of town which also was nice."

"We arrived at the Sawmills having made a last minute booking. On arrival we noticed the room was immaculately clean. Despite our booking being a dog friendly room, there wasn't a dog hair in site. Theo and the team couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the garden, slept like logs and then an amazing breakfast next morning. Worth every penny of the incredibly low price we paid. We will certainly be back and hopefully stay a little longer next time. Thanks for making our wedding anniversary a very special one ❤️"
