Fukuchiyama is located some 260 miles (418 kilometers) from Tokyo, the country's capital, and about 40 miles (64 kilometers) from Kobe.
This part of Japan is a firm fixture on the tourist trail. To understand why, rent a vehicle and explore the fascinating natural and cultural attractions within easy traveling distance of Fukuchiyama. Visit the Old Mikami Family House and Temple Inari Shishizaki in Miyazu, some 17 miles (27 kilometers) to the south of Fukuchiyama.
Around 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the north of Fukuchiyama is Kyotango, a regional center where you can visit Kumihama C. C., Yuhigaura and Shizuka Shrine. Kyotango has plenty to offer travelers willing to linger. Gosyo Inaba-honke and Goshiki Beach Park are some of the other places worth visiting.
Nothing opens hearts and minds in this culturally rich world as well as language, so be sure to know a couple of relevant Japanese phrases before you come. Why not make use of "Isshoni odorimasenka?" The English translation of this phrase is "Would you like to dance with me?" And also "Benjo wa doko desu ka?", which translates as "Where's the toilet?"
When it's time to leave this special place, say a fond Sayōnara (farewell) to the locals you've met and the places you've seen.
