"Calabria is a province of hilltop villages and just outside San Vincenzo La Costa is this peaceful mountain refuge. The driveway is daunting at first but passable in any car and easy once you have done it. Host Claudia stocked the place with jam, bread and coffee and did everything to make me feel at home. There is great hiking from the house and even better a short drive away, and it easy to access all the wonders of Calabria in an hours drive in any direction. I cannot wait to come back."

"The house was as expected. The check in was challenging due to the late arrival. Definitely recommend checking in during daylight. If you check in on Sunday, have Rosanna do some shopping for the necessity."

"The beautiful view and space was luxurious! The host was always available and helpful. The fresh fruits and vegetables shared with us by the land manager were delicious!!! And pool was clean and well kept. The mattresses and pillows are very old and uncomfortable and very much need to be updated. Some of the full size beds were actually two cots put together. This was disappointing. Not enough blankets and towels were provided."

"Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem kleinen Ort mitten im historischem Zentrum. Sie ist nur über diverse Treppen mit ungleichen Stufen zu erreichen. Die Wohnung gehört zu einem Hotelprojekt, so dass man -wenn man möchte- auch auf dem "Dorfplatz" bzw. dort in einem Restaurant frühstücken und zu Abend essen (es gibt ein täglich wechselndes Menu) kann. Im Übrigen gibt es nur ein weiteres Restaurant, dass fußläufig zu erreichen ist, jedoch jetzt im Oktober 2021 auch nur an den Wochenenden geöffnet...

"This Medieval Village was so good on everything, staring with staff people and the owner was extremely polite and very courteous with me and my wife. We were in Calabria for 10 days we had stay in about 3 different hotels in the area, this was the best one we stayed and I wish we knew about it before, but we are coming back next year. " nice stay, thick walls, great view. Old house, surrounded by fig trees and oleander. The walls of the back are built into the earth, and therefore cool, but also moist inside- there are air dryers in it for good reason. A small car is easier for the narrow streets and serpentines. We had a great time there."
